The next day, Mirabel was just about ready to go grocery shopping when her phone beeped. She checked her phone to see that it was a text message from Gabe, and she was really excited. But when she checked the text message, she wasn't happy.

Ola, meu quierda Nomes!

How are you? Looking forward to our date today. Meet me at my apartment in about an hour.

Mirabel couldn't believe what she'd just ready—meu querida Nomes? This text message obviously wasn't for her, but who was this Nomes? Why was Gabe having a date with her when he should've had one with Mirabel two nights ago? It was because of that text that Mirabel suspected her fiancé was cheating on her. The text message said that "Nomes" had to meet Gabe at his apartment in an hour, and that's what Mirabel planned to do.

About an hour later, Noemi reached Gabe's apartment door. What she didn't know was that Mirabel had also reached Gabe's apartment complex, and she saw Noemi at Gabe's door. Gabe opened the door, and he was happy to see Noemi.

"Nomes, so glad you could come," Gabe smiled.

Mirabel couldn't believe what she'd heard. Gabe had just called Noemi "Nomes", and she saw him kiss Noemi, on the lips no less. Mirabel's theory had been confirmed there—Gabe had been cheating on her with Noemi. Noemi entered Gabe's apartment, and Mirabel discreetly went up to Gabe's apartment. Each apartment in this complex had windows, just like a regular house, and this was sure to help Mirabel see what Gabe was doing. She peeked into the window, which happened to be open, so she could hear what Gabe was saying.

"And how's my beautiful, perfect girlfriend doing?" Gabe asked.

Mirabel couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"Just fine, Gabe, but Mirabel has been making me look stupid at work again," Noemi replied. "Why does she have to be better than me at designing cards?"

"She shouldn't be because she doesn't even belong here," Gabe said. "Don't worry, meu amor—you're still the best designer in my world."

"I'm glad you feel that way, Gabraham," Noemi smiled.

Mirabel didn't care about being better than everyone else, but she did care that Gabe had been lying to her the entire time they'd been dating. She rang the doorbell.

"Enter," Gabe called.

Mirabel entered Gabe's apartment, and neither he nor Noemi even noticed—they were too caught up in themselves and each other.

"So, since you and I are getting married, what's going to happen to Mirabel?" Noemi asked. "You're engaged to her, too."

"Well, Valentine's Day is in about two weeks, and so is my wedding to you," Gabe said. "I'll stay engaged with her until then, and then I'll break up with her that morning."

"Sounds perfect, but it's for another about two weeks," Noemi said. "Won't she suspect what's going on?"

"That's not important," Gabe insisted. "She's always busy with her work and keeping in touch with her family in her hometown. She'll never suspect a thing."

Mirabel couldn't believe any of this. Gabe had been cheating on her with Noemi, to whom he was also engaged, and he was planning on dumping her on Valentine's Day, which would be his and Noemi's wedding day. But she wasn't willing to let Gabe lean on her like this, and she came into the living room, saying, "I wouldn't be so sure about that, Gabe!"

Gabe and Noemi jumped at the sound of Mirabel's voice, and they were horrified that she was right here in his apartment, finding out what they'd been doing.
