The whole week had gone by, and now it was the 14th. Today was Valentine's Day, and tonight, there was going to be a big dance at the Butterfly Bay community center. Mirabel had just gotten out of bed, and she went downstairs for breakfast when she saw the family photo from Lupe's wedding. She wondered how her sister knew Victor was the right man for her...or how her parents knew they were right for each other.

"Buen día," Mirabel smiled. Then she saw an envelope sitting on the table, and the envelope had her name on it.

"Buen día, Miraboo," Rosa smiled.

Mirabel picked up the envelope and opened it to find a Valentine, one that she'd designed herself. She opened the card to find a message that stated:

Dear Mirabel,

Happy Valentine's Day! We hope your first one back in Butterfly Bay is great!

Love,

Mami y Papi

"Wow, gracias," Mirabel smiled.

"De nada, nena," Esteban smiled. "Oh, I know it's been a week, but it feels good to have you back."

"It feels great to be back," Mirabel smiled. But deep down inside, she was sad that she didn't have someone to love, like her parents loved each other. But she was 100% sure that being single was better than dating an idiot like Gabe.

After breakfast, Mirabel went into her old art studio. Of course, her parents had it redone when they learned that she was moving back, but the studio was still in the same room as before. She remembered drawing and painting pictures of love scenes from her favorite movies. The walls in the studio had been repainted, so she could paint new murals on them. But Mirabel didn't have ideas for a mural yet, and that didn't matter. She didn't want her parents to know that she was distraught over not having a man who loved her. She picked up the sketchbook that Lupe gave her, and she'd recently filled it with her favorite Disney love scenes, and she started to color some of them in while singing her own version of "More than a Dream" from Cinderella III: A Twist in Time.

I've always dreamed that my life could be

Like a fairytale, a perfect fantasy

Every day, a new adventure

On some undiscovered shore

Is it nothing more than a dream?

Is it really true?

I don't stand a chance

All I found was just a storybook romance

And I really thought my life could be better than before

But it was nothing more

Nothing more than a dream

I could say it never happened

Just a dream from the start

But then I'd live my life

With a broken heart

Yes, romance really isn't the right thing for me

I should leave behind my romantic goals—yes, it's all clear to see

Can I trust my heart?
