The next day, Mirabel was all dressed up and ready for her first day working at Butterfly Graphic Arts. "Buen día," she smiled.

"Buen día, Miraboo," Esteban smiled back. "Are you excited to work at Butterfly Graphic Arts?"

"Sí, Papi," Mirabel smiled. "I'm already looking forward to my first official assignment."

"Good to hear," Rosa smiled. "We look forward to knowing what you come up with."

"I already have a few ideas," Mirabel smiled.

After breakfast, Mirabel went to Butterfly Graphic Arts, and the boss was really happy to see her.

"Ah, Mirabel, your Valentine cards were a serious hit," Mr. Prescott smiled.

"Well, I'm glad everyone liked them," Mirabel smiled.

"Well, let me show you where to put your stuff, and then I'll show you your working space," Mr. Prescott said.

"Okay," Mirabel smiled.

Meanwhile, today was also Enrique's first day at a new job. He was hired by the Butterfly Bay Arson Investigation Bureau, and he just arrived at the office.

"Ah, Enrique Loya?" the boss, Mr. McBride, asked.

"That's me," Enrique confirmed.

"Ah, good," Mr. McBride smiled. "We've been expecting you. Come with me, and I'll show you where your work space will be."

"Okay," Enrique said.

The whole morning went by, and now it was close to 11. Mirabel was working on some new St. Patrick's Day greeting cards and postcards. She showed her designs to Mr. Prescott, who was very impressed.

"Mirabel, these designs are divine," Mr. Prescott beamed. "I never even thought of making St. Patrick's Day cards. I'll have these printed up, and they should be in stores by next week."

"Okay," Mirabel smiled.

There were sirens blaring, and they were getting louder. Firetrucks, ambulances, and police cars were passing by the building, rushing to an emergency. Mirabel was surprised by what was happening, but if there were a fire, she wouldn't be surprised if Enrique were investigating.

Later, Mirabel and her friends from work were on their lunch break.

"So, Mirabel, how's your first day working at BGA?" Riley asked.

"Great," Mirabel smiled.

"So, Mira, if I'm not mistaken, I'm certain we saw you dancing with a boy at the Valentine's Day dance," Rochelle smiled.

"I saw that, too," Leah spoke up. "Who was he?"

"Enrique Loya," Mirabel replied. "He moved into town from Santa Luisa, Colombia, around the same time I came back. We met at the mall when I almost fell backwards down the stairs and he caught me."

"Wow, what a hero," Rochelle remarked. "I have to admit, the way you were waltzing with him was just so romantic, better than the way Belle did with the Beast."

"Yeah, it's obvious you're meant for each other," Riley smiled.

"Totally," Leah agreed.

Mirabel did love Enrique, but she wasn't sure if they were meant for each other. "I don't know," she shrugged. "We only just met—besides, I might not even be his type, especially with my...imperfections."

"What imperfections?" Leah asked.

"The beauty mark on my face and the fact that I snort when I laugh," Mirabel replied. "Then again, he did say last night that my laugh was cute."

"There you go," Rochelle smiled. "He doesn't mind hearing you snort when you laugh."

"No, he doesn't, Rochelle," Mirabel agreed. "But like I said, we met just yesterday, so we shouldn't rush it."

"Good point," Riley smiled.

The whole day went by, and after 5 o'clock, Mirabel had arrived home from work.

"Ah, Mirabel, how was your first day at work?" Rosa asked.

"Great," Mirabel smiled.

"Good," Rosa smiled. "Okay, dinner will be ready by the time your father gets home, so you can relax until then."

"Okay," Mirabel said. She went up to her bedroom, and she'd come up with an idea for a mural in the art studio. She decided to paint a mural of butterflies representing each holiday in the year.

About an hour later, Esteban had come home, and he, Rosa, and Mirabel got together for dinner.

"So, how was work today, nena?" Esteban asked.

"Great, Papi," Mirabel smiled.

"By the way, I met with Enrique's family for lunch, and I invited them to come over this Friday for dinner," Rosa said.

"Really?" Mirabel gaped.

"Sounds like a good idea," Esteban smiled.

Mirabel was surprised, but at the same time, she was excited because this sounded like a good excuse to get to know Enrique better.

Meanwhile, at Enrique's house...

"We're going to see Mirabel for dinner this Friday?" Enrique gaped.

"What do you say?" Julieta asked. "This sounds like a great way to get to know her better."

Enrique thought about it—he really did want to get to know Mirabel better. "Sounds great," he smiled.

The next day at work, Mirabel told her friends about her plans for this Friday.

"His family is coming to your house for dinner?" Rochelle beamed. "That's totally awesome."

"You have to tell us about it next Monday," Riley smiled.

"Did you talk to him last night?" Leah asked.

"After dinner," Mirabel replied. "Just yesterday afternoon, he was investigating a car fire that started because the transmission was broken."

"Wow, scary," Leah remarked.

"I have to admit, I'm impressed with how he's dedicated to his job," Mirabel smiled. "I like a man who loves what he does for work."

"Good to hear," Riley smiled.
