"Ok Sam come on in you go," Bucky says as he walks with Sam's weight on his shoulder.

"Oh my god we're back already what time is it?"

"Whoa, quiet down, quiet down," Bucky says as he locks the front door behind them while still supporting Sam. "Your wife and kids are asleep," Sam lets out a big gasp as he looks at Bucky with wide eyes.

"Oh, oh no I don't want to wake them," He says in an over dramatic whisper looking around the dark room.

"I know you don't," He say guiding Sam towards the stairs. "Lets get you to bed," Bucky continues on towards Sam and Marley's bed room smiling softly when he sees Marley's sleeping form on the bed. "Ok you have to be really really quiet because Marley's sleeping ok?"

"yeah, yeah of course, I wouldn't want to wake my baby, she needs her rest,"

"that's right she does," Bucky says softly leading him into the room. Bucky gently drops Sam into a chair getting him a change of cloths and throwing them at him. "Change, I'm going to go grab a couple of things you'll want for the morning I'll be right back," He whispers to Sam before walking out of the room. When Bucky returns a moment later with a glass of water and a couple pain relievers he sees Sam sitting next to the bed watching Marley. "Ok that's not creepy at all," Bucky says to himself as he set the things in his hands on Sam's night stand.

"She looks so pretty whens she's sleeping doesn't she. So peaceful," Sam says quietly really to himself. "I can't sleep in here, I can't disturb the beauty," Bucky watches as Sam struggles to his feet and clumsily makes his way out the door.

"Hey, hey, hey, where are you going," Bucky says quietly following Sam. "your beds in there,"

"She's too peaceful," Sam says attempting to walk down the stairs and almost falling until Bucky caught him. "I don't want to disturb her, I'll disturb her," he says continuing to try to walk down the stairs. "I'll sleep on the couch tonight,"

"Ok, ok, fine, just let me help you before you break something," Bucky says with a roll of his eyes. Bucky helps Sam down the stairs to the couch. "Are you ok now?" Bucky says as Sam lays himself down on the couch. Sam didn't reply. "I'll take that as a yes," Bucky says walking towards the kitchen to find a pad of paper to write a note. He had half a note written when he heard voices coming from the other room.

"I'm sorry, i really really didn't mean to wake you,"

"You didn't wake me up dad i promise say is Uncle Buck still here?"

"I think he's in the kitchen i don't really know, you know your smiles just like your mothers, i love your mother so much, i love you all so much,"

"yeah, yeah i do know that daddy, I love you too,"

"you three... are the best things....... to ever happen to me,"

"Did he really not wake you or did you say that just to get him to shut up?" Bucky asks quietly from the doorway as Sam fell unconscious.

"I mean i heard you guys come in but I was awake already," Riley replies giving her Uncle a small smile. "I checked to make sure Drew didn't wake up before coming down here," Bucky nods before motioning for her to come into the kitchen with him.

"What are you doing?" She asks nodding towards the note he was writing.

"Writing your mother a note explaining why your father decided to sleep on the couch instead of in bed so she doesn't freak out in the morning," He says finishing it up. Riley doesn't reply. "Whats on your mind kiddo?"

"You are a really good friend to both mom and dad," the girl says quietly.

"Yeah well, they've helped me through a lot in my life" Bucky says with a small smile. "and not only do I owe them a lot at this point its also brought us closer," there was a beat of silence before Bucky looks at Riley. "Y'know your parents, and your aunt, and all of you kids are the closest thing ive had to an actual family since the 40s. Heck I know I'm not related to any of you but you surely make it feel like I am,"

"You'll always be a part of out family Uncle Buck,"

"I hope so," he says before standing up and grabbing the note. "Come on lets get you to bed before your mother kills me," The duo walks back upstairs Bucky dropping the note off next to Marley and walking Riley to her room.

"Will you stay here for the night?" Riley asks once she's under the covers. "I know you get an earlier start then the rest of us and you'll probably be gone by the time I wake up but i would feel better knowing you're not out there at this time of night,"

"you know I'm a big boy right?" Bucky asks the girl with a smile.

"I know, i know," the girl says with a small chuckle. "I know you can kick dads ass in a fight,"

"Hey," Bucky tells the girl who stops thinking he's going to reprimand her language. "I've beat his ass multiple times get it right," he says making the girl laugh. He smiles a her noticing how Sam, was right, her smile did look like Marley's. "I'll stay in the guest room tonight if it makes you feel better,"

"It does,"

"goodnight riles," He says placing a gentle kiss on the girls head.

"Goodnight Uncle Buck,"

"You look so beautiful when you sleep, so peaceful," Marley says when Sam's eyes open the next morning.

"What the fuck are you on about?" he says shutting his eyes tightly due to the pounding in his head. "And why am I on the couch?"

"Read," Marley replies with a smile as she hands him Bucky's note from the night before.

"You are never going to let this go are you," Sam groans placing his hand over his eyes.

"Don't be like that its cute," She says with a smile, Sam just groans in annoyance. "You are such a sap, I love you," She says moving his hand to place a kiss on his lips.

"Hm yeah could you close those blinds possibly?" he asks. Marley rolls her eyes before closing the blinds with her powers.

"I'm going to wake up the kids,"

"Oh anything but that," Sam groans placing his hands back over his eyes.

"Advil's on the counter," She says with a laugh as she walks away.

"I love you," he calls after her retreating form even though it hurt his own head.

"I love you too Sammy,"
