Marleyy: Great!!

"Hey Buckaroo," Marley says with a smile as she gives the one armed man a hug. "Hows the feonce?" She asks sitting down at the table. It was a small diner in town, one that the duo continuously spent their friday afternoons conversing. Something Bucky started to make his therapist happy, but then it actually started helping, it was good to talk to someone. And while Bucky was living with Sarah and the kids and Marley saw him often, they still set aside time to chat on Fridays.
"Oh shes good like usual, the kids being a hassle in the best way possible," BUcky says with a small smile talking about the new family he had found for himself.
"Good, thats good," she says taking a sip of her water. "Hows the wedding planning going?"
"Its, uhm its going," he says before their regular waitress walks up to their table.
"Well hello you two,"
"Hi Martha," The two greet in chorus with smiles on their face.
"Should I go ahead and put in your regulars for you?"
"Oh that would be lovly Martha thank youu," Marley says looking at the older woman.
"It would be my pleasure," she says starting to walk away only to turn back. "Oh and James, i heard the news, congradulations," she says giving the duo one more motherly smile before walking away.
"so whats holding up the wedding planning?" Marley says turning her attention back to her friend.
"Just myself I guess," Bucky says with a shrug. " I cant stop thinking, just what would my mother think? You know?"
" That's fair, thats fair, but you have to remeber that your mother was alive in a completly different time,"
"tell me about it," Bucky says with a short laugh before taking a drink of his water. "Im pretty sure she would be rolling around in her grave right now. Not only is Sarah divorced, but she's also independent,"
"And Black, don't worry you can say it," Marley adds to his list. "We all know the 40s were racist," she says with a shrug.
"yeah," Bucky says with a sigh.
"you know, ive never met her, but i think your mom would be happy,"
"Really? why do you say that?"
"Well, because you're happy, really in a parents eyes that all that should matter," Marley says with a smile. "Plus traditional 40s weddings are kind of stupid," she adds with a shrug.
"well if we're throwing a traditional 40s wedding out the window can I ask you a question?"
"Hit me with it Barnes," Marley replies as their food gets set in front of them. Bucky thinks for a second before shaking his head.
"Never mind its to far a stretch,"
"Nu uh," Marley says mouth full of hot food. "No takesies backsies," she says once she properly swallows. Bucky is silent for a moment before he finally asks the question.
"Do you want to possibly, be my best man?" Bucky says scratching the back of his neck slightly. Malrey goes quiet in suprise. "or i guess its technically best woman, or is that too far, i think it might be too far," BUcky says starting to ramble.
"Hey Buck shut up," Marley says from her spot.
"You can say no if you want to,"
"No, no, no, i was just suprised out of all people you would ask me," she says taking a bite of her food. "I would love to continue to throw tradition out the window with you and be your best man," she says giving Bucky a smile.

"What did you get up to today?" Marley asks getting into bed later that night.
"Meh not a lot," Sam says with a shrug pulling his wife closer to his chest. "Did some paperwork went to the park with Drew and Riles, bathed the pets,"
"Did you give Stevie a bath all by yourself?" Marley asks in disbelief as the couple looked for a movie to watch.
"Yeah he was a little angel,"
"Drats, must just be me," she says shaking her head slightly. "Oh well I guess you'll have to give him all his baths now," she says with a small shrug.
"Ha ha very funny," He replies with a small chuckle. "How was lunch with Buck?"
"Oh my god," she says sitting up remembering the events that happened earlier that day. "You won't believe what happened, "
"What happened? " Sam asks slightly amused look on his face.
"Bucky asked me to be his best man," she says with a smile. "And I said yes so Sarahs going to have to find a new maid of honor, " she says before laying her head back down on Sam's chest. "Just kidding we all knew I wasn't going to be her maid of honor or anyway, ooh this gives me an excuse to wear pants," she says eyes lighting up.
"Aw man you took my job," Sam whines at the news. "I thought I was gonna be his best man,"
"Sucks for you," Marley says sticking our her tongue. "Hey maybe you can be Sarahs maid of honor, i'm sure we can find you a pretty little dress," she says earning herself a small pinch on her side making her squirm and release a laugh that quickly spread to Sam.
"I'm glad he chose you," Sam says once their laughter died down. "From the moment you met him you tried to be his friend, and after Steve went, I can tell you've really helped him. Your friendship really means a lot to him,"
"I know it does, that's why I said yes," she replies with a smile. "Besides I'm not going to leave an old man stranded somebodies gotta look out for him,"
