Daryl's POV
I rode around with one of the horses that I had borrowed from Hershel's ranch "Sophia!" I called out only for a hiss to reply startling the horse "Whoa. Easy easy. Whoa whoa whoa!" I said trying to soothe her only for her to rear back and knock me off "Son of a bitch!" I yelped as I fell off and rolled down the hill while the horse took off.

Lottie's POV
I had calmed down and sent Carl back into the tent to rest and asked "Glenn? Wasn't there something else that you wanted to tell me?" Glenn develops another panicked look on his face "Uhm...well, it's about Lori..."

{~A few seconds later~}
I walked around trying to find Lori, and when I see her by her tent digging through her bag looking for something.

"Lori! Lori!" I hissed catching her attention making her scoff and ask "What do you want?" "You're pregnant?!" I hissed out. She looked at me in surprise before glaring at me "Mind your own business, Charlotte!" "So it's true, you're pregnant?!" I ask receiving a withering look in return "If you must know, yes. I'm pregnant with Rick's baby."

I look at her and ask "Is it really his?" She looks at me in shock and says "Of course it's his!" I give her a bland look and said "You slept around with Shane....a lot. You and Rick hadn't been together since Carl was made" Lori scoffs and smugly says "For your information Rick and I got together when he came back" I cringe and say "Ew..."

"Besides, no matter what, it's Rick's responsibility. I'm still his wife" Lori says before strutting up to the house. I stared after her and shook my head before heading back to the tent.

I sat back down and went back to folding clothes and putting them in their designated baskets when dad walked up "Hey....Something wrong?" I ask "I just had a long talk with Shane....He wants to call off the search" dad says making me give him a look as I ask "What do you think?"

"What if it was Carl? Would you want us to keep looking?" Dad asks making me look into the tent before answering "If it was Carl....yes I'd want to know one way or another. I'd need answers" "Shane says my good intentions are making us weaker, that I can't make the hard decisions for the good of the group" dad says as he takes a seat next to me and starts folding clothes with me.

"They're all hard decisions" I point out "But maybe I'm holding on to a way of thinking that doesn't make sense anymore. He says it's math, basic survival-- How much fuel, how much food, how much ammo. Not much room in that equation for being soft. It's pretty simple when you start thinking of life like that" dad points out
"Hey. None of us were prepared to be living life this way. You are making the best decisions you can with the information you have. I don't see soft in that" I said as I place a hand on his shoulder.

He takes my hand in his and kisses it "Thanks Lots....what would I do without you?" I chuckled and said "Ohh, crash and burn, probably" making him chuckle and say "Probably" I hesitate then say "Hey, dad, there's something you should probably know about..." he looks at me and asks "What's up?" "It's Lori....she's-"

I'm cut off when Maggie walks over and says "Mr. grimes. My dad wants to talk to you" dad nods and says "I'll be right there" he then turns to me and says "We'll talk later, okay?" I nodded and watched him walk off.

Daryl's POV
I groan as I regain consciousness "Why don't you pull that arrow out, dummy? You could bind your wound better" I hear a familiar voice say.

"Merle..." I groan as I open my eyes to see Merle hovering over me wearing his usual clothes in a darker color "What's going on here? You taking a siesta or something?" He asks me "A shitty day...." I answer "Like me to get your pillow? Maybe rub your feet?" Merle jokes "Screw you" I moan "Huh-uh. You're the one screwed from the looks of it. All them years I spent trying to make a man of you, this is what I get? Look at you. Lying in the dirt like a used rubber. You're gonna die out here, brother. And for what?" He asks me.
