Good morning, afternoon, or evening, my kawaii wolf dragons! Lately, I've been playing around with a few AI generator apps, and I asked one of them (it's called Writecream) to write a Mortal Kombat fanfiction where Jade catches Kotal Kahn cheating on her with D'Vorah, and is comforted by Kung Lao, whom she ends up catching feelings for. I loved how it turned out, so I decided to change it up a bit and post it here! Now, in a few Mortal Kombat 11 intro between D'Vorah and Kotal Kahn, it's implied that the two are having an affair. Check out the video below to see it for yourselves.

Please note that this takes place about a year after the events of Mortal Kombat 11, contains mild suggestive themes (I know I said I wouldn't do anything smut or lemon, but I'm reconsidering on limes), and, on an unrelated note, I ship D'Vorah with Reptile (might to a sequel to this oneshot where D'Vorah leaves Kotal for Reptile). Oh, and for the canon x canon oneshots, I'm gonna include fanart of that ship. The one above isn't mine, it belongs to frost-747 on DeviantArt. Anyways, enjoy!

(Jade's POV)

After a long day of assisting my dear friend Kitana, I decided to go visit my boyfriend Kotal. Using the spare key Kotal had given me, I unlocked his front door and let myself in. (A/N Before you guys blow up the comments, Kotal has told Jade that, on the rare occasion his door is locked, she can unlock it with the key he gave her) To my confusion, he was nowhere to be seen, but I could hear his voice from his room, though I couldn't make out the words. "Honey?" I called out to him. When I received no answer, I approached the partially closed door of his bedroom. I could hardly believe my eyes as I peered through the crack in the door, hoping to catch a glimpse of Kotal Kahn. Deep down in my heart, I knew something was amiss, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Now, as I surveyed the scene before me, everything became crystal clear.

Kotal was locked in an embrace with D'Vorah, the insectoid queen that I'd always suspected was more than just a colleague. They were kissing passionately, their hands roaming all over each other's bodies. My fists clenched in anger, and I struggled to contain the raging emotions coursing through me. I had devoted myself to Kotal completely, body and soul, but he had betrayed my trust in the most despicable way possible. My heart was broken, shattered into a million pieces.

"Kotal..." I whispered, the words catching in my throat. "How could you?"

But there was no answer, no explanation. All I heard was the sickening sound of Kotal and D'Vorah making out. Furious, I drew my staff and, with one swift swing, hit my cheating lover and his mistress over their heads. Dazed and startled, the two broke their kiss and looked up at me. "J-Jade? W-what are you doing here?" Kotal asked. "Well, I WAS going to come see you, but since I walked in on THIS, CLEARLY all those years of love and devotion meant nothing to you!" I screamed as I slapped him in the face and threw the key to Kotal's house into D'Vorah's face. "We're over. Don't speak to me ever again!" I said firmly. Without another word, I stormed out of Kotal's house and slammed the door.

In my chambers, I paced back and forth, wringing my hands in agitation. It was over between me and Kotal. I couldn't go back to him now, not after what he had done. But then, who would I turn to?

As if on cue, a soft knock on the door yanked me out of my thoughts. At first, I hesitated, but I soon opened it slightly to see my Earthrealmer friend, Kung Lao, standing there, a concerned look etched on his features. "Jade, is everything alright?" he asked, as if he sensed my distress.

(Kung Lao's POV)

Jade shook her head mutely as her beautiful green eyes filled with tears. I stepped inside and closed the door behind me, putting an arm around her. "Tell me what happened," I urged softly. Jade swallowed hard, then poured out her story, telling me everything she'd seen. As I listened patiently, my face contorted with the anger burning inside me as Jade told me about Kotal's infidelity. How could he cheat on someone as beautiful and amazing as her with someone as wretched as D'Vorah? When Jade was finished, I pulled her into a tight embrace. "I'm so sorry, Jade," I whispered. "You deserve so much better than that scoundrel." Jade couldn't help but let out a sob, the tears now freely flowing. "Shh, it's okay. I'm right here," I whispered as she clung to me like a lifeline, as if she were grateful for my presence and, in that moment, I was the only thing keeping her from falling apart completely.

(3rd person POV)

Over the next few weeks, Kung Lao continued to support Jade, helping her to pick up the pieces of her shattered heart. They trained together, sparred together, and talked endlessly. It was during one of these long conversations that Kung Lao revealed his feelings for her. "Jade, I know this might not be the right time, but I have to say it. I've loved you for a long time. You mean the world to me," the Shaolin blurted out, a bright red tinge in his cheeks. Jade was speechless, her heart racing. She had never even considered the possibility of Kung Lao having feelings for her. But as she looked into his deep brown eyes, she realized that she felt the same way. "I... I feel the same, Kung Lao. I just didn't know how to say it," the Edenian warrior admitted. Kung Lao broke into a wide smile, taking her by the hand. "Then let me show you," he chuckled, pulling her into a kiss.

From that moment on, Jade and Kung Lao were inseparable. They embarked on a new journey together, one filled with love, passion, and the determination to make the most of every moment. Though Kotal Kahn had caused her immense pain, Jade knew that it was all worth it in the end. She had found her true soulmate, and nothing could ever break them apart.
