Once again we were in the car, driving away from the motel we had just been in. I was in the back with Bobby-John - who was sleeping soundly, and looked adorable doing it. Was I getting baby fever? My eyes drifted from the baby, as I just checked on him. My eyes landed back onto the cover of my Grimoire, getting it here was one thing, sending it away was another. For now I would keep it close by, and I had a feeling that we might be indeed of it.

"You know, it's pretty smart, actually," Sam's voice filled the car. "I mean, shifter poses as a guard for the security company. To get near the house, then it scopes out the fam,"

"Yeah. Then Daddy takes off, and the shifter becomes Daddy," Dean cuts into Sam's explanation. "Few glasses of wine, shakes mama's tree, come back in nine months to collect its prize" Dean's head shifted to the look at the baby briefly, meaning that the child was the prize.

"I didn't even know they had babies. I thought they were just freaks of nature, like – like X-men style,"

"My God, did you really just say that?" I questioned aloud, arching up my eyebrows, as I saw Sam's gaze in the rear-view mirror. "Of course they have babies, how else would they pass the 'gene' - for a lack of a better word, on," I offered a 'duh' expression, as it was basic biology.

"Yeah, you learn something new every day, huh?" Dean added into the mix, making me chuckle while shaking my head at them, returning my attention to Bobby-John.

"I've never seen a baby monster before," Sam admitted, surprised at the fact that creatures actually reproduce and not sprout up out of the ground.

"Yeah... Of course, it's not really a monster. I mean, it's still just a baby. It's not its fault it's Dad's a shifter," Dean explained, as in his eyes this was just a regular baby who has powers.

"Right. But it's a shifter, too," Sam tries to make his brother see that at the end of the day, the baby is a shifter - a monster in their eyes.

"It still doesn't change the fact that we've got to," Dean paused for a moment, cocking his head back to see the baby in its seat, still asleep. "We've got to look after this thing. But what the hell are we gonna do with it? We can't actually drop it off at an orphanage. They might get upset when it turns Asian," Dean was making light of the situation, but he had a point, we couldn't just drop the baby off anywhere.

"Samuel," Sam's voice came clear as day, making me turn my head back around to face him.

"What?" Dean was quick with the reply.

"Samuel. He'll know what to do," I knitted my brows in confusion, only hearing that name in passing.

"You want to bring it to a bunch of hunters?" Dean asks, his head locked with his brothers.

"They're not just hunters, Dean. They're our family,"

"We don't know them," Dean shot back at Sam, but at the moment I was currently lost in the whole situation. Clearly, not in the loop of things just yet.
