Frustration and disease, a battle long,
Analysis sought, provoking the thought,
Obligations held, a vision sought.
Forbid and language, a society shaped,
Overwhelmed by change, a new order draped,
Infectious diseases, ambitious dreams,
Eruptions in nature, a pawn redeemed.
Sailors braving the stormy veil,
Memories etched, stories to tell,
Sophisticated minds, constructs of art,
A coffee culture, a place to start.
History teaches, a lesson to learn,
A vision of the future, a passion to burn,
From the past, we seek our way,
A legacy to leave, come what may.
