Taeyong stands in the middle, a little bit in front of the front line of his soulmates as they stand before the cameras of a press conference.
"I know there are a lot of questions, but we'd first like to announce that we are no longer under SM Entertainment."
There's a flashing of lights as the reporters in front of them begin to ask their questions all at the same time.
"Please hold your questions," Lucas interrupts, stepping next to Taeyong and is successful in quieting the crowd as he steps back.
"Thank you," Taeyong nods at Lucas before turning back to the podium in front of him. "We are now under PNation and will continue to make music there. Please support us and watch for our new music. Now Psy hyung would like to say a few words."
Taeyong steps back into the line between Lucas and Mark, immediately taking Mark's hand into his own. His anxiety peaks and he finds himself reaching for Lucas' hand, too. They're all standing close enough that the linking of their hands is unnoticeable to anyone else.
"You alright?" Lucas asks, barely opening his mouth to speak softly.
"Yeah."
Lucas squeezes Taeyong's hand in an attempt to comfort him. He wishes he could take all Taeyong's stress away by holding his hand, but he knows that he'll never fully understand the stress of being a leader. Lucas does his best, though, to comfort his soulmate.
Mark taps on Taeyong's hand with his fingers, hoping his soulmate gets the message of 'I love you' and 'you're doing fine' and 'it'll be alright'. He knows his message gets across as he's pulled closer to Taeyong.
Taeyong comes back to reality as Psy turns to him.
"Is there anything else you want to say, Taeyong?"
Taeyong shakes his head 'no', but Mark steps forward, their hands still linked.
"Can I say something, hyung?"
"Of course."
Psy moves to the side as Mark steps up to the podium.
"I would just like to say thank you to our fans for supporting us and that we'll try our best to make you proud."
Mark bows to the audience in front of him before moving back next to Taeyong.
"We will now take questions," Psy comments.
There are five microphones passed to the group as Taeyong steps up to the podium once again.
"Alright, first question, please."
"What are your plans for upcoming music?"
"We plan to follow our storyline," Taeyong replies. "We now own the rights to everything related to NCT. Psy hyung has agreed to let us continue with what we had planned, but we will have more creative input with our music than we did before."
"Will the extra schedules that the members have still take place?"
"They will," Doyoung answers. "With the exception of a few, all broadcasts that we were scheduled to be a part of have agreed to let us participate."
"Is there a date scheduled for your next comeback?"
"There is not," Lucas replies. "As of now, we are still getting settled in at PNation, but please look out for an announcement with more information."
"You have members that still haven't debuted, what is the plan for them?"
"As Taeyong mentioned," Kun starts. "We will be following our current story line, which includes debuting the younger members when they're ready."
"Alright, we only have time for one more question," Psy interrupts, seeing how some of the boys have started to get fidgety.
"Will you be revealing your soulmates?"
"As I've stated before," Taeyong answers. "My soulmates are mine to know about, it's not something that needs to be publicized, nor do I wish it to be publicized at this moment. Maybe one day in the future, but for right now, we will not be disclosing that information."
"Thank you, Taeyong." Psy smiles and steps up to the podium. "And thank you all for coming, please look forward for more announcements pertaining to NCT at PNation."
"2! 3! Thank you!"
Taeyong leads the boys in a bow before leading the way off the stage.
They're quick to leave after saying goodbye to Psy and his soulmates.
Once home, Taeyong goes to sit with his youngest soulmates, finding them to be the ones that need his attention the most.
Taeyong finds himself sitting between Jaemin and Renjun with Jeno sitting between his legs. Chenle sits in front of Renjun and Jisung sits in front of Jaemin as Mark and Donghyuck sit on the other side of Jaemin and Sungchan and Shotaro sit on the other side of Renjun.
They let Jisung choose the movie and ended up watching a cute kids one that Taeyong had never heard of. He enjoys it, though, especially the part where he gets to hear the giggles of his soulmates and see the smiles on their faces.
At the end, Taeyong ends up with Jisung and Chenle in his arms as everyone has shifted spots.
"Hyung?" Jisung whispers.
"Yeah, baby," Taeyong replies.
"Thank you for watching with us. I feel less anxious now."
"That's good. Me, too."
"You were anxious?" Chenle asks softly.
"I was, but I'm not anymore. Being with all of you always makes me feel better."
