Chapter 12//Cuddles and Movies

~Ib~

After Garry and I walked inside I couldn't sleep. "Can we watch a movie?" I said, my voice still sort of weak. It almost sounded like I was five again.

~Garry~

"Can we watch a movie?" Ib asked me. Her voice sounded so high pitched and adorable, all the blood rushed to my cheeks. "Sure. What movie?" I asked.

"I dunno.." She said in that cute voice from before.

"I'm okay with whatever..." I said. "As long as it's not..... a horror movie." I shuddered in slight fear.

She gave a small giggle, "That's too cute."

"Wh-What is?" I asked while blushing.

"We just escaped what seemed like hell, and you're telling me that you don't want to watch a horror movie?" She laughed.

I laughed nervously because I knew she was right. "L-Let's just pick a movie." I nervously rubbed the back of my neck as I guided her to the living room.

Ib and I both decided on watching 'The Notebook'. Ib fell asleep a little halfway through it, though.

Told you I would protect you, Ib. I made a promise to you and I intend to keep it. I said in my head as I watched her sleeping face.

She looked so peaceful like nothing could ever make her angry. I kissed her forehead lightly and fell asleep along with her.

I woke up with morning burning my eyes. I groaned and looked down only to find that Ib had gotten up and left.

"I-Ib?" I asked nervously while walking around the house frantically.

I didn't see her in any of the rooms, she definitely wasn't in the house. Maybe she's outside?

I checked the backyard and, of course, Ib was there. "It seems you've found the pool." I laughed as I saw her swimming around.

She giggled, "Yup! You should join." She suggested. "Maybe." I said.

"Awww come on! It'll be fun!" She squeaked and smiled brightly.

Ah, dammit. Not that smile. I can't resist that smile. "Ok. I'll be out in a bit then." I said while smiling.

"Yaay!!" She exclaimed, dipping herself underwater.

~Ib~

Garry had finally finished dressing and came out. I had never seen him shirtless, but now that I have I think I might just pass out.

I stared at his body, it felt as if the world was going in slow motion. "You ok Ib? Your face is all red." Garry asked while smiling awkwardly.

"Y-Yea. I'm fine." I smiled nervously. I dipped my head in the cool water so that maybe my face would cool down.

Just then Garry jumped into the water and his hair was swept away from his face.

Woah. He's hot. I thought in my head, Wait what? Did I only say that in my head? I hope I did...

"Ib?" Garry called out. I snapped out of my head and found him standing directly in front of me, "You ok?" He asked.

"U-Uh huhh." I responded trying to make my voice normal.

He didn't say anything, he just pulled me in a hug. I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him back.

I think... I think I might be in love with him. But, unless he feels the same way, I can't tell him. I said to myself as I sighed contently.

~Garry~

I wasn't going to say anything awkward, I knew something was up. I just hugged her and she instantly hugged me back, wrapping her arms around my neck as I wrapped my arms around her waist.
She sighed happily.

I moved my right hand up to her head and stroked her wet hair. "You can tell me anything, Ib. I hope you know that." I said quietly as I rested my head on top of hers.

"I know." Came her response as she nuzzled her head against my chest.

Maybe, just maybe, I might like her more than a friend. I've never really felt this way before. But I know I can't tell her yet, it has to be the perfect time and place. Not here. I planned out in my head.

We parted from our hug and decided to sit down and dpi out feet into the pool. "Why are you always so distracted now? What's going on in that pretty little head of yours?" I asked curiously while complimenting her at the same time.

She gave a soft little laugh, "Nothing." She had a light blush across her face. "Why are you always so curious?" She asked while sticking her tongue out at me playfully.

I laughed and then I felt a small hand on my back, pushing me into the water.

"Oh no you don't!" I exclaimed as I pulled her into the pool with me. "Ahh!!" She screeched.
