Chapter 27

A/N
So I'm going to a baby shower at 1 pm, so this chapter is going to be really short. I have to sleep too y'know! XD

Daddy took us back to the house during the day and took us back to the hospital at night.
Everyday he would do that. It's been a week since mommy fell asleep.

"Daddy?" I asked as I sat on the couch next to daddy.

"Yes?" He responded.

"Do you think mommy will wake up soon?" I asked.

He was silent for a minute until he finally responded, "Yes. I have faith in mommy that she'll wake up. But all we can do is hope for now."

"Uh-huh." I nodded.

It was getting dark outside so daddy drove us to the hospital again. I was tired so I went to sleep on the chair.

As soon as I sat down Rue started to stare at the seat next to me.

I felt a presence in the room, a familiar presence.. I turned my head towards it, it's next to Aiden.

I walked over to him and the presence went away. But it's still in the room. It's next to the door now.

I sat down next to Aiden, just to make sure he'll be safe when he sleeps. "Rue?" He asked. "It's ok, go to sleep. I'll be here to protect you." I said with a smiled. "Ok." He responded and closed his eyes. He laid his head on my lap and fell asleep.

Despite us being twins he's much smaller than me. He's sensitive, sweet, and caring. He's frail, that's why I can't let him get hurt.

So right then and there, I made a promise to myself.
No.. I swore to myself. I would protect Aiden, no matter the cost.
