Chapter 30//Who are you?

The boy had taken me to a lake. It was very pretty here. The grass was the perfect shade of green, the water was so clear and the waves moved perfectly. The wind blew softly and the sun was at the perfect angle so it wasn't too hot.

"Wow! This place is beautiful." I gasped. I smiled a bit, "I'm glad." He said and smiled with me.

"If you don't mind me asking.... who are you?" I asked.

"?... You want to know me?" He asked. "Yes." I replied. "....Can we get to know each other... a different time? Please?" He asked with a small frown. "Oh... U-Um, sure. I guess it can wait." I said and he smiled.

For some reason, seeing him frown made my chest ache with the worst pain. "Hey! Follow me. I have something else to show you." He smiled and I agreed, following him to somewhere else.

"Wait..." He suddenly stopped. We were just about to leave the lake. He turned around and stared into my eyes. "Rue... Promise me you'll take care of yourself. I'm sure Aiden, Ib, and Garry can take care of themselves but what matters is your own needs." He said.

"Oh... um... S-Sure. I guess I can to that." I said and a small smile formed on my face.

Why..? Why does he care about me so much? Why do I have this warm, fuzzy feeling in my chest? Why...?
I've never seen this boy in my life but somehow I feel like I've known him forever...

Then everything turned black once more. I slowly opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling above me. I heard the faint beeping of the monitor next to me. I felt someone grabbing my hand.

I looked over and saw Daddy with his head down, he was holding my hand softly. He looked asleep but turns out he wasn't really.

He brought his head up to meet my eyes and tears filled his own. "Thank god.." He breathed out. "Daddy?.. What happened?" I asked, my voice raspy. "I had gotten worried about you and Aiden so I went inside and found you passed out in front of Mary's spirit. Aiden was no where to be seen, though. I'm still worried..." He said with a small frown.

"What? Aidens missing?!" I asked frantically, trying to get out of bed. "Rue! You have to stay put, your injuries are still very bad. If you get hurt more then it could be fatal..." He frowned more.

"But..... Aiden he-" I was cut short.

"Aiden will be fine, I'm sure of it. The police are looking for him, I'm sure he'll be found soon." Daddy tried to reassure me.

But... I know where he's at.. I whimpered in my head as I lay back down on the hospital bed.

Tears filled my eyes. I wanted to cover my face but I couldn't move my arms for some reason.
The tears spilled out as daddy hugged me. "It'll be alright." He said. No.. it won't... I wanted to say but I couldn't get the words out.

After an hour I had calmed down. "Daddy... Is mommy awake yet?" I asked sadly. "No, sweetie, she's not yet." He replied. "Will she ever wake up?" I asked. "Hey, hey, Rue. Mommy is the strongest woman I've ever met apart from you, I'm sure she'll wake up soon." He said.

I nodded. Feeling tired I closed my eyes and fell back asleep.

I slowly opened my tired eyes and found myself laying in a completely white room. "....?"

I looked around, no one but me. "..?! Wh-Where is everyone? Please... I don't wanna be alone!" I wailed.

"You're not alone." A girls voice called out behind me. I turned around and studied her face.

He had mismatched eyes. Her left eye was purple and her right eye was baby pink. "Who're you?" I asked with a weak voice. "No time to explain. Just come with me!" She said and started to walk towards a random direction. I followed closely behind.

Soon we were at a house I've never been at. "You go in... I'll be waiting here for you." She said.

I nodded and walked into the house. Everything was still, it was like the world had stopped moving.

I walked around and saw mommy sleeping on her bed. Then time started to move again.

A woman entered mommys room and went to wake her up but couldn't. She hollered for someone and a man came rushing through. After being informed of what was happening he called someone.

An ambulance came soon and they took mommy away.

Time stopped again as the woman stepped into the van.

I went outside the house an found that the scene had changed to the hospital. "Huh?" I questioned. "Sh. Don't question it, just step inside. I'll be here, waiting." The girl from earlier told me.

"O-Ok." I agreed and stepped inside. Time started to play and the couple from before were in the uncomfortable waiting chairs.

A doctor came out and told them to follow him to mommys room, I followed with them.

I saw mommy laying on a bed with a monitor connected to her. She was sleeping. "Your daughter has fallen into a coma, she refuses to wake up. Do you know of any traumatic events lately?" The doctor asked mommys parents. "No..." Grandma cried.

Time stopped again...

I walked outside the hospital to the girl and everything but her and I faded to black.

"Just one more memory..." She said and mommys house from before showed. This time it was burning and mommy was on the sidewalk crying. "Why?!" She wailed out. She got up and the fire trucks got here.

That's when the time stopped again. "That's all the memories. Be sure to remember them all." The girl said. "But... But what do they mean? Why?" I asked.

"You'll find out soon." She smiled and hugged me. Then she disappeared. Everything disappeared and I was left alone. "Don't go..." I whispered out.
