Chapter 22//Hospitals

~Rue~

I gathered all the items these past two weeks.

It still doesn't feel right...

It's nighttime now, I asked daddy to stay up with me and watch a movie. Mommy went to bed because she's been cleaning the house all day.

I don't know what we're watching, I couldn't think straight. I had the knife underneath a blanket and I was wearing the glove Mary forced me to put on.

"D-Daddy?" I'm asked scared.

"Yes? What's wrong?" He asked, concerned.

"I... I don't know if I'm doing the right thing...." I muttered as tears fell from my eyes.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

".....Daddy...... I love you..." I said sadly as I reluctantly stabbed his stomach. He made a loud yelling scream and mommy ran out seconds later. "OH MY GOD!!" She screamed, her voice pained. "Rue!! What did you do?!" She yelled as her eyes filled to the brim with tears.

I was left home as Mommy and Aiden took daddy to the hospital. I just sat still on the couch as tears soaked my cheeks. It was still dark as night inside and outside.

I could feel Mary's glare on me. 'Why isn't he dead?' She asked with an angered tone. "....I'm.... sorry...." I said slowly and sadly. 'Sorry won't get you out of trouble. From me or your mom...' She muttered darkly.

More of the warm tears streamed down my face, I felt numb and cold inside.

And then... It was like I couldn't move. My tears stopped falling and I unwillingly got up and grabbed the knife which had my fathers blood.

I felt my body stalk outside and walk towards a random direction.

What's happening?! Why can't I move? I panicked in my head as my waking body laughed. "Be a good girl, and follow Mary's orders..." My mouth voiced.

In no time, my waking body arrived the hospital. What... what am I doing here?... I thought to myself.

My arms moved and hid my bloodied knife as I walked in. "My daddy was taken here..." I whined to the lady. "What's your daddy's name?" She asked. "Garry... he has purple hair and... and purple eyes and h-he came here-" I got interrupted, "Come with me, little girl." A tall man in a white coat extended his arm.

I felt myself nod and follow the man to a room. 'Room 105' "Your daddy is in here." He said and opened the door.

He turned to my mom, "Uh, miss Ib, your daughter has come." He said and my body moved in with(fake)tears streaming down my face. "Thank you mister..." My small voice mouthed as he nodded and closed the door.

"Rue..? Did.... did you walk all the way here??" My mother asked me and my head nodded a 'yes' as it ran into her arms.

My mother hugged me back and I felt the small smirk my face wore. It quickly faded when we both parted from the hug, "I'm sorry mommy! I didn't mean to... to...." I started but my mom just put her hand on my head, "It's fine." She said with a sad smile.

"I have one thing to ask you, though." She added. "What is it?" My mouth voiced. "Get out of my daughter..." She muttered darkly and stared into my waking body's eyes with a death glare.

"Wh-What?"

"I said, Get. Out. Of. My. Daughter...." She repeated, "I know Rue wouldn't do anything like this unless she was tempted... So I'll ask you this last time before I take action... Get out of her body..."

My body laughed manically. "Fine...." My mouth muttered, "But this isn't over, Ib, I will have you. And we can be best friends-" An insane smile formed across my face, "-Forever..."

Then I fell to the floor weakly, gasping for breath violently. I could move again. "Rue! She didn't hurt you did she?" Mommy panicked as she hugged me. I heard my daddy groan, "What's going on?"

I stood up and took out the knife that had been basically stabbing my back and threw it on the ground in tears. My shirt had begun to grow red on my back where the knife had cut me multiple times.

Mommy and Aiden pulled up my shirt and saw my back had tons of deep cuts, like a whip.

Oh god.. Rue... she had more than 20 slashes across her back. SHIT! I panicked in my head as I called for someone, anyone.

A nurse with long brown hair that was pulled into a ponytail rushed in, I didn't even need to tell her what happened because she could see it right in front of her. She gasped and took my daughter somewhere, she told me to stay in here with Aiden and Garry.

~Rue~

The nurse took me into a scary white room where a bunch of people were. "We've got another one." She said as she laid me down on my stomach.

"That's twice this week!" One of the men yelled frustrated.

A bunch of other nurses and doctors ran up to me and gave me numbing shots. Soon I couldn't feel anything in my back.

After three hours some of the feeling came back, but all I could feel was a warm tingling sensation.

A sharp pain struck me everywhere suddenly and I writhed around in agony. They had two nurses hold me still as they continued.

The numbing shots wore off and they grabbed more, injecting the fluid into me. I felt the cuts sting and burn all over, that feeling traveled to my hands and neck making me scream loudly.

Tears overflowed my eyes and fell down.

The pain was unbearable but I soon passed out.

~Aiden~

I could hear it. I heard her screams. But mommy couldn't, daddy couldn't either. I cuddled closer to mommys heart and tried to focus on that but her screams kept getting louder and louder.

Then suddenly, they stopped. I grew worried for my dear sister as the time marched on. "M-Mommy-y... what's gon-na happen t-to Rue?" I asked scared. "I don't know. But she'll be ok, I promise you." She replied, her soothing voice calming me down. "Mhm.." I nodded and closed my eyes, listening to her steady heartbeat.

I fell asleep after a little bit, but I had the worst nightmare.

Or at least I think it was a nightmare...

I was standing next to Mommy in front of two graves. She was crying and so was I.

The one in front of me read,

Here lies
Rue (Last name cuz idk o.O)
2014-2019
You will forever be missed.

And the one in front of mommy read,

Here lies
Garry (Last name ??)
1996-2019
May your soul Rest in Piece.

Mommy and I went home after that. We both went to bed but in the morning, I was the only one who got up.

My eyes flashed open and my heart raced. I looked around and saw Rue sleeping next to daddy on her own bed and Mommy was sleeping next to me. But my panic woke her up. She looked at me with sleepy eyes, "What's wrong?" She asked and tears filled my eyes. "I had a nightmare." I replied and cuddled up next to her.
