Since Alhaitham couldn't afford the hearing aids, he tried to check his bank funds, and it was just enough for Kaveh's hearing aids. But this also means most of his funds.

Kaveh in the apartment, he stayed in bed all day. Ever since Haitham started to save for his hearing aids. Kaveh felt depressed day after day, and he couldn't feel Alhaitham's presence at the moment.

Mehrak always stood there with Kaveh, trying to make him happy and motivated. But Kaveh couldn't smile at the point where he knows he was deaf and couldn't hear his little buddy, Haitham, anyone or anything.

Meanwhile, Alhaitham finally got the funds for his friend's hearing aids.

"I hope this can help Kaveh. I can't stand the pain we both have. I feel more hurt now when I'm away from him. "

"Welcome dear customer," said the shopkeeper. Alhaitham soon realized it the shopkeeper was Nahida. His old professor and mother figure during his college days. She was a kind and loving person to everyone around her. She always sees Alhaitham as her son and Alhaitham sees Nahida as a mother.

Nahida! It's so good to see you.

Haitham, you have grown so tall now! Taller than what I remember in your college days.

After a short talk, Haitham bought the hearing aid. He was excited that all his hard work would be paid off and Kaveh could finally hear again with it.

When Haitham got back to the apartment, he saw the whole living room in a mess, full of Kaveh's blueprints, torn apart. Even his dream projects. There was one thing Haitham noticed in the ink jar, it was shattered and the ink was all over the floor.

Kaveh.. no.. this can't be.. is he alright?

Alhaitham rushed to Kaveh's room, where he was lying down in bed and staring at the window.

Kaveh! I got you the hearing aids! You can hear with these!

"it's much better to hear nothing at all, Haitham,"
Kaveh said in reply.

"What's the point right? It's all ruined now."

As Kaveh started to admit he would never hear anything ever again.

Haitham got mad, and he and Kaveh started to argue. He insisted on the hearing aids but Kaveh kept disagreeing. Mehrak on the other hand stood away from their heated argument.

"I just want to take care of you, is that bad?"

"I want a friend Haitham, not a nurse."

In the middle of the argument, Haitham accidentally pushed Kaveh onto the bookshelf. It was behind Mehrak as it collapsed on it. Kaveh and Alhaitham were stunned after realizing they killed their little buddy.

Kaveh fell onto the floor and let out a loud cry after seeing it.

Alhaitham lifted the bookshelf and saw Mehrak was crushed into pieces. It was beyond repair for this. Even if it may be a thing, it was still a friend to Kaveh and Haitham.

This gave a big problem for the two of them, Kaveh's little pal is broken. Alhaitham cleaned up the shattered pieces and place it in a box. Haitham tried to reach out of Kaveh but he was speechless.

After that incident, the two became slightly distant. This made Haitham sad, he killed their best friend and now it added more to Kaveh's depression.

Kaveh had a mental breakdown nearly every day. He always locked himself in his room, crying and wrecking things.

Alhaitham didn't know what to do but stayed outside the room and hear Kaveh's cries and the banging of objects in the room. He couldn't take it anymore. He has to do something.

Hi again just got an inspo from my best friend to make this more painful

Next chapter will be quite fluff but still this is angst
