Chapter 6 | Emotions

After finally wearing the hearing aids, Kaveh could finally hear after all these days, weeks, and months. But there is just one problem, he kept his other illness from Haitham. Making him weak day by day.

Saturday morning, as Kaveh does his morning routine:

"I think I need to tell Alhaitham now, I think I can't handle keeping this."

After doing his morning routine, he sees Alhaitham in his room holding a ring for him.

Haitham is this for me?

Of course Kaveh, will you marry me?

Yes Alhaitham! I'm all you-

Kaveh fell to the ground. Leaving his boyfriend stunned.

KAVEH? KAVEH? CAN YOU HEAR ME? ARCHONS PLEASE NO...

Alhaitham dropped the ring and started bringing Kaveh to the hospital. He was full of anxiety in the waiting room. He can't bear any more of losing his loved ones. He lost his parents, a few of his relatives, his grandmother, and soon might be his lover.

When the doctor approached Alhaitham about Kaveh, Haitham got stunned by the news.

"Alhaitham. I'm sorry to say but your friend here had AIDS for a long time. No cure can treat him at this point. He has now only 3 years to live." The doctor said. Alhaitham didn't answer, only what he could do is cry at the news. He can't get mad at Kaveh for keeping it because it would worsen Kaveh's health.

Alhaitham couldn't take it. He wants to have Kaveh for longer than 3 years. His whole life, or until he dies too. Or if he has to die with Kaveh, it would be the best last wish in Haitham's life.

"Doctor, may I see Kaveh now?"

"Yes, you may."

Alhaitham stood at Kaveh still unconscious. He cried on Kaveh'a hospital bed, he couldn't control his feelings anymore.

"Kaveh, please don't go. My heart can't hold this anymore. I love you, I love you, I love you, I really really love you. Why do you have to go so soon?.... Kaveh, love, don't go, I beg you, archons help me, PLEASE LET KAVEH STAY LONGER FOR ME."

Kaveh soon woke up to Alhaitham crying out in agony, he held Alhaitham's hair and pet it. Alhaitham started to look back at Kaveh with watery eyes. "Don't go out of my reach, please." Alhaitham wiped his tears after seeing Kaveh sad to see Alhaitham crying on his bed.

"Haitham, if any of us gets out of reach, can I make a request?"

"Sure.."

"Let's meet again, in another world where we will have peace together, we don't have to suffer, we will be okay, we won't cry from this."

"Okay, I will do your request, we shall meet again when we both die. When we both lose touch, when we... we... lose each other."

Alhaitham started to cry louder, Kaveh stood up and hugged him. Kaveh didn't want to die early leaving his lover alone. His heart may stop from his health but it won't stop for Alhaitham.

Only what Haitham can do as a solution is make Kaveh's last years the best. He will do everything to make Kaveh happy.

"Haitham, let's go home."

"Sure thing, I'll ask the doctor if you can get discharged."

Alhaitham asked the doctor, but only 2-3 days before Kaveh can be discharged.

"Geez what a bummer, Haitham wanna play games while passing the time"

"Of course."

"TCG?"

"Let's see who'll lose this time."

"Oh I bet it's you!!"

"Let's s see about that Kaveh"

The two had fun for the days before Kaveh's discharge. They had laughter, small silly fights, and most of all, enjoyment with each other.
