Chapter 7 | The first and last waltz

After 2-3 days, Kaveh was finally discharged from the hospital. But sooner, the doctor asked Alhaitham if he could talk to him in private.

"Remember. Kaveh shouldn't get more depressed or anxious in his last years. You don't want his life to shorten more? Don't you?"

"Yes doctor. I just want him to stay long with me."

Alhaitham and Kaveh left the hospital. Alhaitham can still feel pain in his heart because of what the doctor said.

Haitham wanted to make Kaveh's last years the best and most memorable before he dies. He can't stop thinking about Kaveh.

"Come on what can I do to make Kaveh's last years the best, I got to make it memorable for me and him too."

Alhaitham went to his room, fixing his room while thinking of something. As he finished fixing his room, he sat down on his desk, reading a book. But what Haitham noticed is a picture frame of he and Kaveh's prom. It was very memorable for him. Seeing Kaveh with his best outfit, his hair tied, and his happy and flawless looks. While Haitham wearing a tuxedo, same hair, and his normal expression.

He remembers everything in the prom. From their eye contact when they saw each other, the dance, to the announcement of the prom king and queen. Sadly the two didn't win because they lost to Cyno and Tighnari. Alhaitham got an idea, he starts writing it down in his notebook about his plan. Unfortunately, after a while, he fell asleep due to the time.

Upon waking up, he saw Kaveh sleeping on his bed. "He really looks like he's sleeping like an angel... " Alhaitham thought.

What happened last night after Haitham slept, Kaveh had a little nightmare and went to Alhaitham's room to sleep. He gave Alhaitham a blanket and proceeded to sleep.

When Kaveh woke up, he saw Alhaitham in his prom suit. "Haitham you still look silly in those, haha, ah what great memories." Kaveh felt nostalgia at that moment. "Love, why not try your old prom outfit too?" Kaveh blushed and got excited at the moment when Alhaitham said that. "HAITHAM HAITHAM ILL GET READY JUST WAIT I PROMISE IT WON'T TAKE LONG LIKE BEFORE AAAAAAA I LOVE YOU SO MUCHH!!" Kaveh started rushing to his room to get ready.

"He's so cute when he's happy. I love that." Alhaitham thought.

After 2 hours, Kaveh came out with his amazing outfit. It made Alhaitham blush and in awe.

"Do I.. still look good in this?"

"Yes, as always. Amazingly beautiful."

"I can't believe it has been years and it still fits, so perfectly that you also got mesmerized too right Haitham?"

Alhaitham nodded as he saw Kaveh dancing around in his outfit. In the middle of Kaveh's dance, Alhaitham grabbed him in the hand. Their eye contact got close, and they kissed.

Alhaitham started to carry Kaveh and a few things while going out of the apartment. The two went in the car as Alhaitham started the engine.

"Alhaitham, where are we going?"

"I have a surprise for you Kaveh."

"Never seen this surprise ever since"

Alhaitham blindfolded Kaveh before he could start driving. Kaveh didn't seem to be bothered, he just went on with the flow. As Alhaitham started driving, his fears started to wipe away, his sadness, and his tears.

When they reached their destination, Alhaitham told Kaveh to stay in the car. When he went out of the car, he saw his best friend Nilou. She was the leader of the dance club that Kaveh secretly goes to. But now she's a dance teacher and an owner of a flower shop.

"Haitham! It's so nice to see you! How has it been going? How is Kaveh?"

"I'll text you later what happened, but now the preparations all prepared?"

"Yup, all done, for you and Kaveh!!"

"Thank you very much for helping me with the decorations Nilou, I knew I could count on you."

"No problem! I have to go now, I have a student who I'm having a double session with. I'll see you around Alhaitham!"

"See you too Nilou."

After Nilou left, Alhaitham started to bring Kaveh to his surprise.

"3, 2, 1, and now you can remove the blindfold Kaveh"

"Haitham, I don't know what to say, it's so beautiful I-I- can't even describe it!"

Kaveh got mesmerized by the view of the beach. The way that was also Kaveh's favorite flowers around the beach. As Alhaitham brought out the wine and the picnic, he saw Kaveh playing in the sand like a little kid.

"Cute."

Alhaitham started preparing the picnic, while Kaveh was playing around in the sand and dancing around like he did in the apartment earlier. After the picnic was set up, Alhaitham called Kaveh to come near him.

"Yes, Haitham?"

"Kaveh, I never knew I could say this but.. will you marry me?"

"Yes! Alhaitham! I'm all yours! I want to be with you forever and eternity, your the only one that makes me happy, you make me feel comfortable because of your presence, you make me believe in love."

Alhaitham was very happy that he carried Kaveh and  twirled him around. "Can I have this dance, sir Kaveh?" Alhaitham smirked "Hah no need to call me like that Haitham, but okay my "prom king"." The two laughed as the dance around the beach at sunset. Kaveh felt like the world was revolving around him. He felt like he has felt happiness once again after all the despair he has gone through.

After a while of dancing, they reached the water. They danced until Alhaitham fell to the shallow water. He was all wet. Kaveh leaned in closer to Alhaitham to check if he was alright but Haitham pulled Kaveh for a kiss. That was unexpected for him but he didn't want to let go.

"Alhaitham?"

"Yes?"

"Thank you for this. I will really treasure this moment in my heart."

"I'm glad you enjoyed this moment too Kaveh, this will always be memorable to me too, and so as you yourself."
