Ryoto knew he had to find allies. He started going around villages, asking if anyone shared the same opinions as Ryoto and if they were willing to join him.

So far he found 5 loyal dragons. He found Diaval first. He was a jet-black dragon, with piercing amber eyes. He strongly despised the Great Lunar War. He wished there were no deaths. Afterwards, he found Firnen. The dark-green dragon was Saphira's brother. He was devastated after learning that Saphira had been murdered. He wanted to avenge his sister's death. Then he saw Longwei. The pink dragon had hated Haru and Lord Kaito ever since they were crowned. She wanted to rip them apart with her claws. Then he befriended Haku. The white dragon with a light spring green mane. Haku felt sorry for all of the Lunar Dragons. His grandmother had been a Lunar Dragon, and had been murdered. He also wanted to avenge his grandmother's death. And finally, he met Leviathan. He was a giant, silver and dark-blue dragon. He had control of the water. He wanted to wipe the leaders off the planet.

Ryoto knew that he would need an entire army. He asked the five dragons to gather up the dragons that wanted to join. They agreed immediately.

Day after day, his father sent many generals to fetch Ryoto. First he sent General Attor. Then he sent General Maleficent. Then General Chua. They were all killed by Haru's very own claws.

Ryoto grew restless. He needed the army. He needed to overthrow Lord Kaito and his own father, Haru. Even though he was just a small dragonet, he had a great dream—a dream not like Lord Kaito's or his father's.

He paced by his den, breathing heavily. Kato watched him with curious eyes. Ryoto knew that the deaths of Dagahra, Attor, Maleficent, and Chua were all his fault. And they were all murdered by his own father.

He wanted to rip his father's handsome face into shreds.

He wanted to slash Lord Kaito's perfect neck.

He wanted them to die.

The more he thought about his revenge, the more excited he got. He was going to make them pay for all of the Lunar Dragons. His mother, Dagagra, Attor, Maleficent, and Chua.

"Lord Ryoto!" A dragon bounded up. Rhaegal, her dark-green scales shimmering in light, stopped by his side. Rhaegal was Dagahra's sister. Rhaegal followed Ryoto immediately. "We just recruited Coatl, Dracul, and Thorn."

The three dragons stepped up. Ryoto nodded to each dragon. "We need all of your help to overthrow the government," Ryoto told them.

Thorn raised his red talon up. "Lord Ryoto, we need a strategist, a messenger, and all of those roles. This way, we can win the war."

Dracul nodded his black head. "Yes, Lord Ryoto. I have a few dragons I can name to help you."

Coatl's gray-silver scales flashed as he spoke. "We completely support you, Lord Ryoto."

Ryoto smiled weakly. "Thank you. Who do you think should be our strategist?"

Dracul said, "I have three dragons' names in mind. I think Drago, the great dragon of the skies, could be the strategist. He knows the ground by heart, after flying in the skies for such a long time. He is wise. Then there's Uruloki. His mind is as sharp as knives, able to penetrate the veil of secrets. And finally, Drakon. Drakon is Drago's twin, and he has studied Strategy in his life."

Ryoto tried to choose, but he couldn't. "How about this: all three of them could be the Strategists. Dracul, could you go fetch them?"

Dracul dipped his head and flew away.

"Right, Lord Ryoto, I remembered something," Rhaegal piped up. "Haru and Kaito have loyal supporters. They are: Arman, Shenron, and Shenlong."

Ryoto's face darkened. "Arman? Arman came to talk to me a few days ago about coming to the palace. He even started to ask me about my alliance... Oh no!" Ryoto gasped, clutching his head. "I didn't realize that he was loyal to Lord Kaito! He must've revealed my rebellion to Kaito! He's coming after me!"
