Failed Lives (ANGSTY :0)

A little background story: This is the boss fight with Dark Markery, but with a little twist. POV is 3rd as Purple Marker. Also, with the weird way my head works, they're human-not-yes-ish-kinda- hopefully you get the point. Also, it's for an angsty porple and dark markery other AU thing that I came up with :D

Some headcanons you should be aware of- in the Dimension of Darkness, respawning is not a thing. The Player is a living entity and can respawn anywhere but the Washable Kingdom and the Dimension of Darkness. (Guess why I'm telling you this)

I wanted to make you guys aware that I'm writing an entire fanfic based on this now- it's too much of a good idea, and I need to turn it into a story.

Purple woke up with a throbbing headache. Sight still blurry, he forced himself up and looked at his unfamiliar surroundings. He was surrounded with light lilac walls on three sides, and the last side opened to a circular room of the same color with a thick pillar in the middle. The only thing between the two areas was a wall of dark, grey bars.

"Where...?" he managed to say, after a while of silence.

"I'm not sure for myself, either," A voice replied. "But this is where I've been ever since-"

     A sigh could be heard.

     "Never mind."

Purple recognized that voice. Maybe a little different, but it couldn't have been mistaken for anyone- or anything, really- else.

"Lilac," Purple replied with an undertone of worry.

"Yes, what used to be my name. Surprising, isn't it?"

Purple paused. "What used to be your name?"

"You know The Player? She updated this god-forbidden place. Apparently I'm Dark Markery now. I absolutely hate it, but it is what it is," (apparently) Dark Markery replied. "The things that you did, though..."

Purple was pretty confused by that. "I know you were called Lilac," he said slowly. "And... we're twins, and... I- oh."

"When Wild Card was choosing who was going to be in charge of everything after Forbidden was disqualified, they chose you, remember? And I was fine with that. I didn't want anything from you, but you STILL decided not to stop them when they were basically going to throw me away like a rusted battery," Dark Markery spat out. "I was there every time you were in a tough spot. What did you do for me? Nothing."

Purple flinched at these words. Having been the obedient child his entire life, he had been too scared to act out. "Maybe I should've spoke up..." he mumbled.

"Oh, only now do you start questioning your choices," Dark Markery said with a snort. "If it weren't for me, you'd be long dead. Why don't I stimulate 'undoing' all those favors, and find out whether you'll live to see another day?"

Purple was certain he was about to die, when a blinding white portal opened behind Dark Markery. The Player stepped out, and a laser gun formed in her hand as the portal closed.

"Oh, good. You're here," Purple said as a small chance of survival sprouted in his chest. "Please help, Dark Markery kidnapped me and refuses to let me go."

"Psh, as if," Dark Markery replied before The Player could do anything. "You ruined my life, so I'm ruining yours. How terrifying would ending it sound?"

Purple, on his last attempt, just murmured "help me."

"Much obliged," The Player replied. Hefting up her laser gun, she shot a laser that whizzed past Dark Markery's ear. "Your move."

Dark Markery sent a chainsaw whizzing out of nowhere, and The Player barely dodged it. Hitting the ground in a defense stance, she opened her mouth to say something when the chainsaw came back and-

Purple closed his eyes right before a sickening splurt was heard. Before he even had time to open them again, a chainsaw went straight through his stomach, and pain split through his entire upper body.

It was only a matter of seconds until Purple's dead body hit the floor.
