P.S I hope you like this one!Scenario: Reality hits hard...
The sheer slap echoed through the whole room.
The dead silence grew louder and louder as she continued to feel the pulsating pain on her cheek down to her lips.
"Don't f****** leave the house again!"
Her first attempt of running away, failed miserably but she couldn't help but look at the person who she was risking it for.
He stood there while her brother yelled some more and started to drag her arm to the train station.
"Can I say bye to him?" She whispered to her obviously hot tempered brother while he sneered at her. He looked back and looked around and saw a lot of people staring at the scene.
He sighed and reluctantly let go. "Hurry up."
She just stared at him as he did too. She slowly walked towards him as we're facing 10 feet away.
The stinging sensation never went unnoticed as she continued staring him. Even though she felt so much grief, she knew that this wasn't going to work out but she hoped. And every time she hoped, it always went haywire.
"I..." She took a deep breath in. "This is not going to work out."
She stared at him and after a while he opened his mouth.
"What do you mean?"
She lowered her gaze, "this. This is not going to work out."
"But why?"
She looked up. "Why? Because you just stood there. And you're shaking."
He looked at his hands and tightened his grip.
"I don't think I can be with someone who wouldn't even try to protect me. Even if he is my brother, even if he is family, it's not okay. Especially if this is the person I may be with for a long time, couldn't shield me from my darkness."
She looked away and closed her eyes.
"I can't even say that I ran away. I'm a grown ass woman, and I know what is good for me. So I came here with confidence, but of course, my brother stalked me all the way here, just to get me back home. Even though, it looks and is pretty bad; he's trying to protect me and my chastity. But I..."
She looked back at him. "I didn't give a f***, I never f****** did because I trusted you! I still do! But I don't think I feel safe with you anymore. I mean, if you couldn't protect me from my brother, who I've always considered a stranger, how will you protect me from anyone else? What's even worse, you promised me that you would! And you know how hard it was for me to trust anyone. I needed you and now I think that you never needed me, you just wanted me. And then you got it, but didn't want to deal with the package that came with it." Her eyes welled up as she came to a pause.
He just stared at her and sighed. "I... I understand. I'm sorry for hurting you and... And I'll pray for your wellbeing." With that he turned around and walked away.
She watched him as he continued to so and slowly disappearing into the bright light.
"You just gave up... Why... Why does this happen... All the time..."
I woke up in a fright.
I pressed my hand on to my chest and I can feel the pounding of my heart to where its reaching to my ears.
And I started to tear up because he wasn't real and he never will be.
