The Promise He Never Kept

I wake up, blinded by white light. I blink a couple of times, making my eyes focus. I look around the room, seeing an attractive blonde boy sitting in the chair next to me, asleep. He was gripping onto my hand, and it hurt. I look at the hand he was latched onto, and see a cast. Considers why it hurts. I try to sit up, but I feel a writhing pain shoot through my head. I lay back down, wincing in pain. I pry my hand out of the boys, before hitting the button to call for a nurse.

A nurse soon rushes in, seeing I'm awake.

"Finally! Hi, Cassidy. I'm your nurse, Mrs. Kayla! Do you need anything, considering you just got out of a coma?" Mrs. Kayla asked, scaring me with how fast she was talking.

"My name is Cassidy?" I ask her, confused about who I was.

"Oh, the doctor said this may happen. I'll go get the doctor and your family." The nurse says as she rushes out of the room. I hear the blonde boy next to me shift. I look over, and see him slowly opening his eyes. He was even hotter when he opened his eyes. They were a beautiful shade of brown, a color most would call hazel. As soon as he sees my eyes open, he jumps up and hugs me.

"Cassidy! Your awake!" He says happily.

"Who are you?" I ask him, curious about why this boy I don't know is hugging me.

"Um, you don't remember me?" He asks me uncertainly.

"Nope, I don't." I say, popping the p.

"Well, I'm Ross Lynch of the band R5, and the show Austin and Ally." He says as he smiles at me.

"You seem pretty famous." I say as I smile back at him.

At that point, the nurse walks back in with three teenagers trailing behind her. When they see me, they all attack me with hugs.

"Cassidy! You're okay!" The small brunette girl with green eyes says.

"Um, yeah. I guess I am." I say confused.

"We know you don't remember anything, but we're your siblings! I'm Ashton, that's Auden, and that's Elle." The brown haired and brown eyed boy says.

"I missed you, Cass! You were out for a while!" The medium sized dirty blonde haired and bright blue eyed girl says. I think her name was Auden.

"Well, who am I? I really don't know." I say to them.

"The doctor said to let you remember on your own, but to tell you basic things like your name and birthday. Your name is Cassidy Allison Ashmore. You were born November 23, 1996." Auden says, smiling gently at me.

I giggle, and everyone looks at me weirdly.

"My initials are HAA like I'm laughing." I say as I continue to giggle.

"Alright. Well, we sent Mom and Dad home to get some rest about three hours ago, and they said they're on their way now. Oh, and Ross, your family is coming up too." Ashton said.

"Okay. Are mom and dad nice?" I ask them anxiously.

"Yes, they are." Elle says, smiling at me.

"Alright. Well, I'm going to get something to eat from the cafeteria." Ashton says as he walks towards the door.

"Elle, we should go too." Auden says as she grabs Elle's hand, before running after Ashton. Did she wink at me before she left?

"Do you remember anything, Cassidy?" Ross asks me.

"You have four siblings that all start with R, and a friend that's in your band. Their names are Rydel, Riker, Rocky, Ryland, and your friend is Ellington or Ratliff." I say, remembering only that.

"Yet you don't remember me." He says as he slumps in his chair.

"I remember something you said right after I got hit by the car." I say to him.

"And what was that?" He asks me nervously, playing with his bracelets.

"You said that you love me."

"You told her, Ross?"
