Once Mix was finished eating, Mew carefully took the container and fork back, putting them into his bag. He made sure to put on some music, some Lana del Rey song's that the younger had always enjoyed in his teenage years. He could see him relax, his eyes closing and hands folded on his lap, above the blanket that was making it comfortably warm for him.
"I'll be back in a second," Mew sad softly, ruffling the younger's hair a little before slowly getting up.
He walked around the meadow, picking some of the blooming flowers until he was completely satisfied with a full hand of different pinks, purples and whites, and sat back down. His hands swiftly worked on his task, while telling Mix a story about the cute cat he had seen on his morning run, and how he was considering making some food tomorrow and bringing it back here. Mix' favourite... waffles with Nutella and bananas, something the three of them had often made at Mew's house in happier times. Earth made sure he kept an eye on Mix' reaction ... and could only note in his head that there wasn't apparently a risk to bring up this. So maybe... talking about some parts of the past was an option...
"Woah... this looks even better put together than I had imagined, " he stared in amazement down at his work, a flower crown he had crafted in just 15 minutes.
Carefully he held it closer to Mix and was able to attract his attention, eyes opening and glancing at the different colours ... the beautiful creation that was laying in Mew's hands. Slowly, he reached out, fingers touching the different flowers and ...
"I should do this every day, " Mew whispered to himself and tried hard not to start crying, seeing a soft smile on Mix' face. The first smile he had seen in all those years, the first smile since he had been kidnapped and his life ripped apart like a piece of paper.
He carefully placed the flower crown on the other's head, getting his phone out and quickly taking a picture of the other before putting it away.

Earth had a hard time taking his eyes off both of them, hands tightly holding onto the material of his sweater. He looked exactly the same, but at the same time like a complete stranger. It was Mix... but it wasn't really him.
When he had imagined this moment, the million times he had closed his eyes and tried picturing the time they would see each other again... it had never been this way. It had been happy, Mix' face smiling brightly and them rushing to hug each other. It had been painful, the younger crying why Earth had left him, why he didn't come back for him sooner. It had been heartbreaking... seeing how Mix despised him. It had been everything but this: A feeling as if someone ripped out your heart and shattered it in a million pieces... shattered it so hard you could never put it back together. How much did he remember? What had happened that he... was in such a state? How could someone do this to another person? Would he... even recognise Earth if they ever came face to face? Would Earth's presence cause him pain? Was it even okay to meet him face to face? Was there a chance for Mix to recover completely? Or for Earth to stay beside him, even if they could never again have what they once did?
