That evening when I was eleven years old always played in my mind. I smack the alarm clock the read five in the morning. I went and took a fast shower. Showers in the morning always helped wake me up and relaxed my body.
I pulled on a pair of light blue ripped skinny jeans and a white spaghetti strap tank top, with my black leather jacket. I quickly blow dried my long wavy hair and threw it up into a messy bun. I glance back at the clock to see it is 5:45am. I rush downstairs to the kitchen to start breakfast.
I began rummaging through the cabinets to see what I could find for breakfast. There was not much since I have not gone to the store yet. I decided to make bologna gravy and biscuits.
When finished I hurried and ate a small bowl, and the time was seven and quickly wrote a letter to my father. "Dad, there is breakfast in the microwave. Get some rest, I love you." I then grabbed my small backpack and headed out to begin the journey to my high school.
"Mey. Meysa hold up." I heard my best friend yelling as I past her house. We have been besties since diapers. Our mothers were best friends. "Hey Lacey." I called to her as she jogged to catch up to me. "How was your morning?" She asked as her breathing was a bit rapid from chasing me down. "Better than yours." I said laughing at her trying to catch her breath.
"I hate mornings. They do not agree with me. I swear I could be like one of the old-fashioned vampires. Only awake at night." She said while yawning.
I laughed as I fixed my bag on my back and continued walking. "So bestie, have you heard the latest tea?" I raised a brow at her. "Lacey, I do not even drink the tea why would I listen to it." I asked in a serious tone.
"Ha, Ha, my own personal comedian. How wonderful." You could clearly hear the sarcasm in her voice. "Like I was saying about the tea. I was on gossip talk last night and apparently there are a few new sexy students coming to our school. "You and social media." She rolled her eyes as I continued talking. "You already know Alishia and her pets will be all over that."
She groaned as I stated the obvious. "Why does one hoe need to plant her seed in every garden?" I gave her a confused glare trying not to laugh as I responded, "I think you need to retake sex education. I do not think women can plant seeds."
She waved her hand at me, brushing my joke off. "Still, we are hot, fun, and smart. Plus we have not dipped our toes into every male infested pond we could find." She was not lying.
We headed into the doors of the school and made our way to our lockers. I grabbed my first half of my classes' books and binders. "Hey Mey, see you at fourth period." We did our best friend hand shake we have done since we were five. "Of course." She then turned and headed up the stairs as I turned to head to my first period.
I felt someone's hand on my arm and then knocked my books out of my hand causing my papers to fly everywhere. I bent down to pick them up as the witch herself spoke. "On your knees where you belong like a good little servant." She cackled as everyone began bellowing in laughter.
I gathered my things quickly not letting her words bother me. As I rose to my feet I made sure to look her in the eyes before responding. "I did not know servants were meant to be on their knees. I thought that was only for hoes like you." The crowd echoed in laughter and burns as I turned heel and headed to class leaving her speechless.
First period sucks for a lot of people but I loved it. My first period was literature and it was one of my favorite subjects. "Good Morning class. First, I would like to introduce you to new student we have joining us here at Ocean View High." The teacher's gentle voice rung out. New student caught my attention causing me to snap my head forward.
