Meysa
Hudson texted me last night while I was asleep and then Lacey. I knew we had to make up with her and what better way than a shopping trip. I was so glad father and I had that talk. We really needed it. Anna and he had a date this afternoon and I needed to make myself scarce anyway. I texted Lacey the shop name and asked her to meet me there and headed out.
The shop was only like a mile away and with the breeze it was beautiful out today. I enjoyed walking it was relaxing for me. Was not long before I came up to the deep red brick building with the white cursive lettering on the front Enchanted. I saw Lacey waiting out front for me. I approached fully ready to apologize and make this right.
When I touched her shoulder to get her attention she jumped startled. Before I had a chance to speak she hugged me. "Missed you Mey. All is forgiven." I hugged her back and sighed. "I had a whole speech prepared and everything." She laughed. "Never need one Mey you are my sister and these things happen. Now let's shop until you drop." It was my turn to laugh. "Of course because this is your hobby." She grabbed my hand and pulled me inside.
This place was like a fairytale land and I if I did not know any better it is like a page right out of Lacey's dream store. We tried on multiple dresses but nothing was making us fall in love with the masquerade theme. I saw a sark green dress on a mannequin near the window and I knew this dress would be it for Lacey. "Here Lacey I put a dress on the door for you." I saw the door crack open and she pulled the dress inside.
She then walked out and she glowed like a princess. "Lacey you look stunning." She smiled and twirled. "I swear that dress was made for you." The smile on her face was enchanting that is for sure. She was a princess. "Now I found one for you and already put it in my dressing room. Go try it on while I look for us some masks." I love her but in this state she is like the queen of bosses.
I went into the dressing room to see the only dark blue dress amongst the different shades of green. I put on the dress and it was very fitting. A mermaid style dress with silver jewels. I walked out hearing Lacey squeal in delight I went to the platform. When I looked in the mirror I felt like I came out of a fairytale. Lacey and I both put on the mask she picked out and they went with our dresses beautifully. "The boys are going to love our outfits!" Lacey squealed.
We gathered our items and proceeded to check out. "Lets go to my house and get some food in our stomachs we have a big day tomorrow. We went to my house and relaxed as we ordered pizza. Being a Saturday they were pretty busy and we had an hour's wait. I saw a note on my computer desk from dad. 'Hey Hudson dropped this off it is your school project. Have a good day.'
I went through the drive and saw that Hudson had gone through and wrote some chapters himself. I read through them and it was really good. He does not give himself enough credit. Lacey then called out to me to let me know the pizza was here. I ran downstairs and Father and Anna were in the kitchen as well. "Hey, honey we see you two ordered pizza we thought why not a little game night." Dad called out. Lacey and I high fived. I loved game night. We have not had them in a while.
We went through the evening playing charades, Skip-Bo, and finished off with Uno. I am telling you Uno can break friendships. We had so much fun. We are a family in our own crazy way. After a good night's rest Lacey staying over made today much easier. We woke up at noon and needed to start getting ready. Father had a few hours of work to do but would be back before we left. "Come on girls I have a few things planned." I heard Anna call out. "Lacey your mom is yelling we have to actually get out of bed now." She groaned as I threw on the romper she chose for me to wear today. Black, fitted, and it looked good. I put my hair in a pony and slid on some black flip flops. Lacey then finally joined me in getting ready.
