Gabriel: Hello, ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to Da Lightwood Radio Show. This is episode, er- what was it, Cecy?

Cecily: It's episode six.

Gabriel: Welcome to episode six of Da Lightwood Radio Show! I'm Gabriel, you guessed it, Lightwood!

Gideon: Erm, Gabe, that's just. . . dumb.

Gabriel: No it's not! And for the last time, DON'T CALL ME GABE!!

Cecily: Dramatic much?

Gabriel: Gabriel Fynn Lightwood is not dramatic!

Cecily: You never told me your middle name was Fynn.

Gabriel: You never asked. Do introduce yourself, dear.

Cecily: Okay! I'm Cecily Lightwood.

Gideon: I am Gideon Lightwood, Gabriel's brother and Cecily's brother-in-law. Cecily, why don't you ever say how you're a Lightwood?

Cecily: I sometimes say that I'm your sister-in-law, depending on if I go before or after you. That counts.

Gideon: You often go after Gabe, yet you never state-

Gabriel: DON'T CALL ME GABE!!!

Gideon: *Sighs* Okay, fine.

*Distant facepalm audible in background*

Sophie: I'm Sophie Lightwood, Gabriel's sister-in-law. Cecily, why'd you hit yourself?

Cecily: I do believe it's called a facepalm.

Sophie: But why'd you do it?

Cecily: Because Gabriel's being annoying. Well, that's men for ya.

Sophie: Yep.

Cecily: Erm, Gabriel? Shouldn't we tell our audience what the subject for today is?

Gabriel: Ah, yes. Right. I- Ladies and gentlemen, today's subject is the future! Chosen by me.

Gideon: But we've never been to the future.

Gabriel: I have, remember? Episode two?

Sophie: Ah, yes, now we do.

Gideon: Speak for yourself.

Gabriel: I've been to the future recently and many a word can describe it. Those words include: Noisy, smelly, confusing, crowded, different, bright, strange, surprising, magical, amazing, and scary.

Cecily: Bright? As in smart?

Gabriel: *Scoffs* No! As in brightly lit. There are much brighter lights in the future.

Gideon: And magical?

Gabriel: There are strange Sensor-like objects that allow people to communicate from great distances! Large, flat glass things with images. They'll call those Tv apparently. And the first object I described will be called a cell phone.

Cecily: How strange!

Gabriel: Buggies are a lot different! I was hoping they'd go out of style. Cecily, will you sing?

Cecily: I sang in episode four.

Gabriel: Yes, that was two episodes ago. You can sing again today.

Cecily: Fine. About the future?

Gideon: Yes, isn't it obvious?

Cecily: Yes. It is. I shall begin.

Future comes from a word meaning about to be
