Gabriel: Welcome to the ninth episode of Da Lightwood Radio Show! Sorry that this is. . . Uh, very late. I’m Gabriel Lightwood!Sophie: I’m Sopnie Lightwood.
Gideon: Hola, soy Gideon Lightwood.
Cecily: And I’m Cecily Lightwood!
Gabriel: Today’s theme is The Difference Between Gliding and Flying.
Cecily: See, remember how in the last episode we were talking about squirrels and mentioned Flying squirrels then Gabriel said that they glide and don’t fly? Then someone, I forgot who, said that that was another show. Well, this is the show.
Gideon: Yeah, the show has finally come. Again, sorry that this show is extremely late. It’s been months since we last posted. I think? We haven’t been keeping track.
Sophie: Well, we’re posting now! We shall try to be more active.
Cecily: We’ll try to update every Wednesday, but we may forget.
Gabriel: Right. . .
Gideon: Gabriel, won’t you like to begin?
Gabriel: Right! Well, the differences between gliding and flying are vast. For starters, flying requires some sort of power to work properly. E.g. wings. Gliding doesn’t require that. It pretty much just requires. . . Wind, I guess? For example, birds and bats fly. Flying squirrels and flying snakes glide. No idea why they’re called flying when they actually don’t, but whatever.
Cecily: . . .
Gideon: . . .
Sophie: . . .
Gabriel: . . .
Cecily: Now what?
Sophie: I’ve no idea.
Gideon: I think Gabriel pretty much covered the theme of today’s episode.
Cecily: Time for the song.
Gideon: About the difference between gliding and flying.
Sophie: And we all know who has to sing it.
Everyone but Gabriel: Gabriel.
Gabriel, sounding stressed: Well, how am I supposed to make a song about that?!
Cecily: Maybe by doing it?
Gabriel: I know that.
Gideon: Just get on with it.
Gabriel: Okay. . . Sorry if this is terrible, people!
The difference
Between two acts are tense
Gliding and flying
Neither are worth crying
Yet as we know
The fool who ignores these differences is woe
They
Are
Vast!
Truly fantastic!
Ain’t worth plastic
Many are they!
Makes me wanna say
Ignoring them yourself
Is terrible for your health!
Gliding!
Landing!
Idolized!
Delightful!
Inspiring!
Natural!
Groovy!
That’s what gliding is!
Flying!
Likable!
Young!
Iconic!
Nutritious!
Golly!
That’s what flying is!
Cecily: That was short.
Gabriel: Not exactly an easy topic to sing about.
Gideon: Fair enough.
Sophie: It was quite nice.
Gabriel: Thanks!
Cecily: Well, time to wrap this episode up!
Gabriel: Right! We hope that you enjoyed this episode of Da Lightwood Radio Show! We’ll see you next week!
Gideon: Hopefully.
Gabriel: Don’t interrupt me. Bye, ladies and gentlemen!
Cecily: Goodbye, everyone!
Sophie: Have a wonderful day!
Gideon: Adios!
