Sophie: Hello, ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to episode eight of Da Lightwood Radio Show! I'm Sophie Lightwood.
Gabriel: I'm Gabriel Lightwood, Sophie's brother-in-law. Honestly, why must we introduce ourselves every time?
Cecily: Because there might be new people.
Gabriel: Good point.
Gideon: I'm Gideon Lightwood, Gabriel's older brother.
Cecily: And I'm Cecily Lightwood, Gideon's sister-in-law.
Sophie: 'Kay, that's everyone. No guests today, sorry guys. We're kind of running low on guests and therefore couldn't think of anyone to bring in.
Gabriel: Yes, yes we know.
Gideon: But our viewers do not.
Cecily: Do we even have viewers?
Gabriel: I don't know. It doesn't seem like we do. We never get feedback. . .
Sophie: You're actually right on that one. Well, maybe we do and maybe we don't. But we will get this show done. Our current goal is fifty episodes, right? Only forty two more to go!
Cecily: What will our goal be when we get that?
Gideon: Why, it'll be one hundred episodes. We go by fifties for our goals, you see.
Cecily: One day we'll be at three hundred.
Gabriel: Maybe we will. But you really can't be sure. We might die before we can get up there. And maybe everyone hates our show and will yell at us until we stop.
Cecily: I hope not! For I love making these.
Sophie: We all do, Cecy.
Gideon: Is this thing still on record?
*Audible tapping*
Sophie: Gideon, stop tapping the thing! And lemme see. . . . . Yes it is on record.
Gabriel: This is live, right?
Sophie: *Sighs* Yes it is. Everyone heard that.
Cecily: Ope, sorry guys! Just ignore that, 'kay?
Sophie: Anyways, today's theme is squirrels! Theme chosen by Charlotte Branwell.
Cecily: Yep! So, there are over two hundred species of squirrels. These include the Eastern Gray squirrel, the Flying squirrel-
Gabriel: Actually, Flying squirrels DON'T fly. They GLIDE. Totally different. See-
Gideon: Gabriel, that's another show.
Cecily: Yes, now let me continue. Mexican Gray squirrel, Western Gray squirrel, Japanese squirrel, Black Giant squirrel, Palla's squirrel, Douglas squirrel, Red-tailed squirrel, African Pygmy squirrel, Fire-footed squirrel, Fiery squirrel, Prevost's squirrel, Finlayson's squirrel, and Fox squirrel. There are many more besides these, mind you.
Gideon: Fiery squirrels are actually very cute! They're very pretty as well.
Sophie: Ah, but African Pygmy squirrels are the cutest!
Gabriel: We all have opinions, now stop fighting!
Cecily: Gabriel's right. But, Gabe, they weren't really fighting, now were they?
Sophie: No, we weren't.
Gabriel: Then stop arguing. And for the last time, don't call me Gabe.
Gideon: Fine.
