Y/N sat on the front porch, lost in a book, when she heard a commotion coming from the garden. Curious, she set her book aside and wandered over to investigate.

That's when she saw him for the first time: Hugh, a young man with honey-colored eyes and a wild mop of curls. He was surrounded by a swarm of bees, but instead of being afraid, he seemed to be communicating with them in some way.

As Y/N watched from the safety of the trees, she couldn't help but be intrigued. She had never seen anything like it before.

When Hugh finally noticed her, he smiled and introduced himself. "Hey, I'm Hugh," he said, his voice soft and warm.Y/N smiled back, feeling a flutter in her stomach. "I'm Y/N. It's nice to meet you," she replied.

They talked for hours that day, exploring the garden and sharing their stories. Y/N felt like she had finally found someone who understood her, someone who could see into her soul.

Over the next few weeks, Y/N and Hugh became inseparable. They would explore the nooks and crannies of Miss Peregrine's home, marveling at the peculiarities that surrounded them, and taking long walks in the woods.

They would sit together under the stars, talking about everything and nothing, holding hands as they watched the fireflies dance.

"I've never felt like this before," Hugh said one night, looking deep into Y/N's eyes."Like what?" Y/N asked, feeling her heart race.

"Like I'm meant to be here, with you," Hugh replied, his voice barely above a whisper.

Y/N felt a rush of emotion, feeling like she had finally found her soulmate. "I feel the same way," she said, taking his hand in hers.

They would steal kisses in hidden corners of the garden, feeling like they were the only two people in the world.
