{Y/n's POV}

Dinner with Philip's family was amazing, minus his younger brother, AJ flirting with me.
Once it got dark but light enough to see I decided it was time to go home and Philip walked me home.
I'm getting attached, I don't want to wake up in my actual room and realise that Philip doesn't exist or live in my time.
I don't think about that right now, not yet, he doesn't need to know either.
He wouldn't understand and that's fine because I don't plan on telling him.
Anyway, I change into my night clothes and tuck myself into bed.
I lay there, thinking

"Is my mom okay?"

"Are my friends okay?"

"Is this some long vivid dream?"

"Am I in a coma?"

There was a knock on my door,  I take a deep breath, and Luci enters my room.

"Hey sweetie, how was dinner?" Luci asked, sitting down on my bed.

"It was... really great," I said, giving her a sad smile.

"What happened? Is there something you want to talk about?" Luci asked.

"No, I don't want to worry you," I said, sitting up.

"Is it something to do with Philip?" Luci asked.

"No, no, He's amazing, he would never hurt me," I said.

"Oh okay, good, then what's wrong?" Luci asked.

"That this is all a dream," I sighed , pulling the blankets up to my neck.

"What does that mean?" Luci asked.

"Uh nevermind, I'll uh- tell you later," I said.

"Okay then, goodnight, Y/n," Luci said, getting up and exiting my room

"Goodnight," I said, Luci closes the door and I slowly drift off to sleep.

{Philip's POV}

{The next morning}

On my way to the flower market, I ran into someone I didn't want to run into...
George Eacker...Sure he's about as cocky as me but every time you see him he talks about politics.
Especially about my father and Jefferson.

"Ah, well isn't it the infamous Philip Hamilton!" Eacker exclaimed.

I roll my eyes and flash a smile, "Eacker, nice to see you..."

Not.

"What brings you to the flower shop?" Eacker asked.

"Buying some flowers for my courtship," I blushed at the thought of Y/n.

She loves flowers and I love to see her smile, so it's a win win.

"Oh who's the girl?" Philip asked.

"Y/n Burrow." I blushed, picking up a bouquet of her favorite flowers.

"Ohhh, her? She's cute, I ran into her the other day, invited her out to coffee but she said no..." He frown

That's my girl!
Good to know she's loyal.

"Well, I just said she was in a courtship... with me," I sighed.

"I didn't know that at the time- Say, how's your scoundrel of a father?" Eacker said.

Oh, so he's trying to steal my girl and talk shit about my father.
Okay...
Someone wants to piss me off.

"He's not a scoundrel." I said, paying for the flowers.

"He is."

"You should watch your mouth on how you talk about my father, don't think I don't hear all the crap you throw at him." I said.

"I don't say anything that isn't true, I thought it was just your father that was a scoundrel but so it seems you are." Eacker said.

"Oh, it's like that?" I asked, setting the flowers down and crossing my arms.

"Yeah, I don't fool around, I'm not your little school boy-" Eacker started.

"Well, see you on the dueling ground... unless you want to step outside and go now?" I said.

"I'll know where to find you." Eacker said.

"Well then piss off, I'm going to see Y/n now," I said, grabbing the flowers and walking home.

I walk home and open the door to see Y/n in the living room reading a book.

"Hey." I smile, sitting down next to her.

"Hey," She finished reading then looked up at me to see the flowers.

"Oooh! You got flowers," Angie sat on the rocking chair.

"Thank you." She smiles and takes the flowers from me.

She places a tiny kiss on my cheek, goes to the kitchen to put the flowers in a vase, and then comes back to sit next to me.

"Is dad still home Angie?" I asked, wrapping an arm around Y/n's shoulders.

"Yeah, he's in his office."

"Thank you." I kissed Y/n's cheek and walked over to my dad's office.
