Y/n POV

Everyone was speaking at the same time and it was grating on my nerves.

A few of the more observant skeletons quieted down when they saw me rubbing my temples while the rest were starting to yell so they would be heard.

After a few more moments I was done.

With a deep breath and a steely gaze I simply said one word.

"Enough"

Although I didn't speak loudly my voice cut through their yelling and they immediately went quiet.

Some of the nicer ones were smiling nervously while the tougher looking skeletons and some of the tired ones were either glaring or wearily looking at me.

Once I knew I had everyone's attention, I pointed at the goop covered skeleton since he was one of the only ones who hadn't been yelling.

"Name." That's all I said. It seemed to take him a second to comprehend what I was as asking but once he did he glared at me.

"And why the heck* should I tell you my name?" Goopy said before yelling at a nineties looking skeleton to stop censoring him. Safe to say that goopy didn't get his way.

Interrupting his yelling, I simply said, "Fine, I'll call you Goopy then".

He froze in place when I said that and quite a few of the skeletons were trying their absolute hardest not to laugh, although a snicker was heard every now and then.

Once Goopy overcame his shock he said in a low and menacing tone "what did you call me?" I simply replied, "Goopy".

He looked two seconds away from skewering me with one of those tentacles behind his back before I simply said, "either tell me your preferred name or be called Goopy for your remaining time in MY house".

I emphasized how this was my home they were in and therefore they would have to follow my rules. After hearing what I said the goopy skeleton grumbled under his breath before saying "Nightmare".

After a couple seconds of me blankly staring at him, he explained, "my name is Nightmare". Nodding sagely I said in a monotone voice, "well you certainly didn't come from my dreams".

After everyone got over their laughing fits I asked Nightmare to explain what happened.

*Time skip one long explanation later*

"So let me get this straight" I stated. "The multiverse is real along with most of you being an alternate version of classic over here as he is the original while Nightmare and his brother Dream are guardians of negative and positive emotions respectively, Ink is the creator and protector of AU's while Error is their destroyer and during one of your spats you suspect that all of your combined magics caused a portal to open and dump all of you here; did I get that all".

"A shorter and less complicated version but yes that's correct" classic said.

Groaning I rubbed the bridge of my nose, nodded to myself, then clapped my hands, startling a few of the skeletons.

"Alright, it was nice knowing all of you but I think it's time for you guys to summon a portal, as it's one of your powers, and get going back to your own universes. I mean this in the kindest way possible but you guys are not helping my headache and I am not responsible enough to deal with all of you".

All of a sudden it was dead quiet. It was honestly unnerving and the sweating-I will seriously never get used to that-skeletons didn't help. I suddenly had a bad premonition.

There is no way they are stuck here....right?

To clear up my hopefully wrong guess, I asked "you guys can leave; right?"

None of the skeletons would make eye contact with me. I immediately knew my premonition was correct even before Classic spoke.

"Well, you see, we would just love to leave but unfortunately, none of us are capable of making portals right now. Due to the amount of magic we all EGGSPELLED during one of our spats, and the magical difference between our multiverse and wherever this is, none of us have even a fraction of the magic needed to create a portal".

Classic added a pun as if to try and lighten up the growing tension he can feel practically rolling off of me and the skeletons afraid of my reaction.

It didn't work.

"What?"

My voice wasn't loud nor was it threatening and yet each and every skeleton, including the freaking creator and destroyer of universes, stiffened at the tone and speed of my one worded question. They acted as if, at any moment, I would attack.

Honestly I didn't blame them since that is exactly what I felt I might do at any second.

God, it was barely 8:30-if my clock was right and not broken like some of my other ones....nope it's right, I saw the minute hand move-which was way too early to be dealing with this problem.

"How long do you believe it would take you to gather the power needed to create a portal back to your home?" I asked as calmly as I could, trying to rationalize why murder isn't an option.

"About a year, maybe two if we were to accidentally expel a huge amount of magic. We could get by with small things such as summoning a couple of attacks or teleporting but, any more and we would expand the time needed to create a portal big enough to return home" Nightmare surprisingly answered.

Sighing once again and gripping the bridge of my nose, right below my glasses, I took a deep breaths before nodding and shaking my head mumbling solutions under my breath.

I could practically feel the stares on my mumbling self and could practically hear there thoughts on how I must have lost it.

After going over several different scenarios-the skeletons still staring at me-I finally groaned and banged my head on the table, causing quite a few skeletons to startle, before saying in a dead-to-the-world tone, "you can stay here until you can get back home".

Please don't make me regret my decision, I thought.

"WHAT?!"
