"Why do you lock it in the first place?" Cigar asked. I was also getting curious and suspicious looks from some of the others as well.

"It's because....."

I tried to draw the pause out as I watched some of them become antsy and others become tense.

"I sometimes babysit and don't want the kiddos around something that could get them hurt" I said.

I could practically see their shoulders drop when I said that and saw quite a few sigh in relief or a droop in there rigid stance.

"What did you think I was hiding, a torture room?" I asked in a joking manner. But they all stayed quiet and their smiles became strained.

I felt bad when I realized that they truly thought I could be hiding something dangerous in there. "Sorry, I forget you guys needed to be paranoid and cautious in your world. I'll do my best to not cause you guys panic" I apologized with soft eyes and tone.

They seemed surprised at my accommodating tone, as if they expected me to sneer and look down on their trauma. It took a minute, but they slowly relaxed and smiled naturally.

"That's better". I said with my own, tired, smile. "Alright, now that I've said where everything is, you're more than welcome to explore, if you need me I'll be in my room trying to take a nap". Not likely I'll fall asleep though... I couldn't help but think.

With that said, I walked up to my room and softly closed my door before collapsing on the floor, putting a hand to my mouth, and staring off into the distance wondering what on earth did I do.

3rd POV

While y/n was having an existential crisis and mental breakdown on what they just got themselves into, the skeletons were eyeing each other warily before.....

"I call dibs on the biggest room!" Yelled Killer, running up the stairs to check out the rooms and lay claim to the biggest option.

"Oh no you don't!" Growls Dust, chasing after him.

With the tension broken, the skeletons begin to amble around the house, Blue and Cream joining them after finishing the dishes, to find a suitable room.

An hour or two later, everyone found a satisfactory room with some bunking together. Killer and Dust ended up sharing the biggest room at Nightmare's order when they almost destroyed the room in their argument on who gets to have it.

Ink and Dream decided to share since they got along pretty well. Nightmare and Error got their own rooms with threats of dismemberment to anyone who disturbed them and Fresh surprisingly shared a room with Cross.

Don and Cigar bunked together at Don's insistence with the same happening for Smoke and Clip, Pumpkin and Ares were uncomfortable sharing with anyone else so they bunked together.

Blue and Honey decided to share when they noticed they were running out of rooms and Classic and Cream did the same. Red and Edge took the last two rooms.

Once everyone chose a room they started to explore the rest of the house. Killer and Dust decided to snoop in the attic and Ares and Pumpkin went outside to assess the crops and animals.

Ink went to the basement to see the art room and Dream decided to relax in his room. Blue went to the gym in the basement along with Edge, Cream, Cross, Clip, and Don.

Red and Honey took a nap on the couch while Classic put on a show about space.

Nightmare was trying to make plans in his room on what to do when he got back while Error was crocheting a miniature doll of y/n to relieve stress.
