Newt pov
It was a regular day, as the box came up with a little girl in it ,she looked around 12.
She instantly got closer with Chuck.

I was now in the gardens working my ass off when somebody approached me.
It was Y/N, my girlfriend.

"Hey, Newtie." She said, kissing me.

"Hey, Y/N."

"Do you need some help over here?"

"Yeah, that would be great, we'll be done quicker, and then we can spend some time together."

"It will be great." She said and took the shovel.

(Time skip)

"Do you mind if I take a quick shower before the bonfire starts?"

"No, I'll keep guard."

"Thanks a lot." She said, giving me a pack on the lips and entering the showers.

"Hey Newt, get out of the way." Zart ordered.

"Why?"

"I want to get a shower."

"Well, then you gotta wait. Cause Y/N is in there."

"But there are many showers."

"Follow the rules!"

"Okay, man."
He said and walked away.

(At the bonfire)

Y/N and I were sitting by the fire, her head on my shoulder.

I took her hand into mine.

"I need to tell you something."

"Hey Y/N can we talk?"
Zart approached us.

"Sure, Newt, I'll be right back."
She said and left with him.

So it's more important what he wants to tell.
I thought.

I left the bonfire and went towards the maze walls, watching them from far away.
They were laughing and having a good time together, which made me feel insecure.
What if I would lose her.

"Hey Newt."

"Hey man." Minho said.

"What's the matter with you?"

"Nothing, just Y/N getting closer with Zart. It kinda annoys me."

"Bro, I think they are just talking, and there should be nothing to worry about."

"She didn't even notice that I left the bonfire."

"Hey, you gotta trust her."

"I know."
I looked back at the bonfire, trying to find her.
When I saw her hugging Zart.

I then turned to Minho.
"Could I stay at your hut tonight?"

"Sure, but you have to talk with her.

"I'll.
Let's go for now."

We then walked straight up to his hut. I laid down on the mattress he gave me and thought about her.

Maybe I'm just not good enough. I thought, closing my eyes.

(Next morning)
I woke up pretty late, Minho has probably already left for the maze.
I'm pretty sure breakfast is also over.
That's a good thing, I won't see Y/N.

I stood up and got ready.
I then stepped out of the hut, walking towards frypan.

"Hey, is there anything left?"
I asked him. I was really hungry.

"No, but I'll make you a sandwich."

(After 7 minutes)

Frypan approached me with the sandwich sitting now beside me on the table.

"What is going on, my friend?"

"Did you see Y/N?"

"Yeah, she was here at breakfast."

"Was she alone?"

"Yeah, at first, but then Zart sat down next to her."

I didn't say anything. I just ate my lunch.

I went to the gardens and started working.
I didn't see Y/N anywhere around.
She was probably in the Medhut with Jeff and Clint.
Or I hope so.

I saw her walking out of the hut sometime later with the new girl that arrived, Emy.
They were talking and laughing.
Y/N looked so good.
I ran towards them.

"Hey Y/N, can we talk?"

"Where have you been? You vanished yesterday, and you didn't even sleep in our hut. Today, all morning, you were gone."

"I'll tell you everything, but when we are alone."

"Hey Emy." Chuck said.

"Hi."

"Do you want to help me with my tasks?"

"Yeah, that would be interesting."

"Bye Chuck, Emy."

"Bye." They waved at us and left.

"Let's go to our hut."

We walked together and I opened the door for her.
When we got both in, we locked the door and started talking.

Y/N pov:

"What happened yesterday?"

"You were so close to Zart that I just got scared and insecure and jealous. You were on him all the time."

"No, I wasn't."

"Why did you hug him? You aren't even friends? Or maybe now you are more than that."

"We are just friends, we just talked and he confessed something to me and I hugged him."

"So he confessed something to you? That he likes you, maybe? You know that I wanted to tell you something and you didn't even care? That's why I left yesterday. I went to Minho's cause I couldn't understand why you would treat me like that. You didn't even care that I left. Didn't even notice. And today in the morning, you were also at breakfast with him, instead of eating with Gally and Ben."

"That's really what you think of me?
After all ? You think I would let you down just like that. Out of no reason.
I thought you knew who I'm but you didn't.
I was talking with Zart because he confessed that he came out of the closet as bi. He is in a talking stage with Ben. Zart just needed someone to talk with about that. Instead of talking with me about that, you thought I would hurt you.
You disappointed me."

I said, walking out of the hut and slamming the door shut behind me.

I walked to the deadheads, thinking about what had happened with Newt earlier.
He can't be insecure about us. Our relationship won't work out. I sat down by the lake.

Newt sat down next to me.
Nobody was talking, neither of us had to.
We knew both what we would say.
I looked at him and saw a tear rolling down his eye.

"What did you want to tell me yesterday?"
I broke the silence.

"That I love you."

I looked at my feet.
"I love you too, I don't want you to be insecure, I want you to talk with me when something is going on."

"I'm sorry, Y/N m, I messed up big time. I'll make it up to you."

"I'm sorry too."
I leaned my head on his shoulder.
We both then enjoyed being by eachother's side.
