You, the triplets and madi are in San Diego for a little holiday. It was around 5:30 in the evening, and you were all hanging out in the living room with not much to do.
"Guys." Chris blurted out. "What?" Matt asked. "Can we go for a drive around?" He asked. "Chris, we don't know where we're going kid." Nick said annoyed. "I know but we could explore and shit." Chris said excited. "Yeah word, let's go." Matt replied, getting up from the couch. "Mum, we're going out!" Madi shouted out to Laura.
"Okay, don't stay out too late!" Laura replied.
You guys made it to the van. You kicked Chris out of the passenger seat so you could sit next to Matt. He pulled out of the driveway and placed a hand on your thigh.
20 minutes later, you guys arrived at a lit up shopping strip which was placed across the road from the beach. "Oh my god this place is so cute." Madi said now hopping out of the van. You all exited the van and walked towards the footpath. "Oh my god, i see a thrift store!" Nick shouted in excitement. "Oh my god yes, we're going!" You reply, now grabbing Matt's hand and dragging him to the store.
You all look around in the shop and pick out some new clothes. You pick up a short blue floral dress and show it to Matt. "Oh my god Matt this is so cute!" You say. "Go try it on." He suggests. "Okay!" You reply as you scurry off to the dressing rooms.
You slip on the dress, and it fits you perfectly. You quickly open the dressing room door, and find Matt waiting outside. "Oooh, I like it babe." He said. "Should I get it?" You ask. "Definitely." Matt says as you shut the door to get changed back into your clothes.
You and Matt head to the counter, and you place the dress on it. "Just this one today?" The employee asks. "Yep that's all." You reply. "That's $55.60." She says. Just as you're about to tap your card, Matt sneaks his card underneath yours and pays for the dress. "Matttt." You whine. He just giggles in response and walks you out of the store.
You guys bicker about him paying for you, until you spot Chris who's waiting outside the store. "You done shopping?" You ask sarcastically. "Yeah I didn't really find anything good; but Nick and Madi have a shit load of clothes to try on, so they won't be out of there anytime soon. "Great, what do we do now then?" You ask. "Oh my god, Matt is the camera in the van?" Chris asks with a smirk. "Uh yeah I think so, why?" He asks in confusion. "I say we go across the road to the woods next to the lake and have a little explore." He says with a grin. "I don't know Chris it's getting dark, what if we get lost?" You say in a worried tone. "Then we can get lost together, and it'll be good content." Chris says, taking your dress from you and taking it to the van. He scurries around in the back seat. "Found it!" Chris exclaims, pulling out the camera.
Matt notices you beginning to tense up. "Hey it's okay, we'll stick together." He says, placing his hand in yours. "I just don't have a good feeling about this." You say. "Don't worry babe, I'll protect you from all the big scary monsters." He teases, placing his arm around your shoulder. "Fine." You mumble.
10 minutes later, you guys find yourselves in the woods, with Matt by your side and Chris leading the pack. You hear Chris talking to the camera. "Hey guys, so Nick and Madi are shopping, so Matt, y/n and I are in the woods." He says. "Matt and y/n are behind me because they're scaredy cats." Chris jokes.
"I'm not scared." You pipe up. "You sure about that?" He teases. "Positive." You say as you begin to walk over to him. Matt grabs your hand as you begin to walk away. "Babe you don't have to do this, Chris is just joking around." He whispers. "Matt I'm fine." You say shrugging him off and stealing the camera from Chris.
"Hey guys, it's y/n and I'm gonna lead us through the woods because little chrissy thinks I'm scared." You say to the camera. You turn left, then find a smaller trail which somehow lead you into the middle of the woods.
"Guys Madi and Nick are probably almost done, and it's getting dark out here, should we head back?" You ask, turning around to find that you're alone. "Guys." You say worriedly. "Matt!" You yell. No response. "Shit." You mumble, as tears begin to fall from your eyes. You want to find the boys, but you're too scared to move any further in case you get even more lost. You decide to call Matt. As you grab out your phone, you realize that there's no signal. You start to break down.
Matt's pov
Y/n decided to lead Chris and I through the woods, which I didn't think was a good idea. "Wait guys, stop for a second I gotta tie my shoelace." Chris said. I stopped and waited for him, thinking that y/n was only a few feet away from me.
Chris stood back up. "Okay let's go." Chris said. We begin to start walking, but there's no y/n in sight. "Y/n!" I shout. Nothing. "Y/n!" Chris and I both yell. "Oh fuck, no no no." I say, beginning to panic. "Where the fuck did she go?" Chris asks.
"Okay, I'll keep walking to go find her, you stay here just in case she comes back." I instruct. Chris just nods and stays put.
"Y/n where are you!" I shout, now speed walking. I turn to find a smaller path, maybe she went down there. I start speeding down the path. "Y/n!" I shout. I don't hear a response so I decide to leave the path until I hear a faint voice from the distance. "Matt!" I hear. It's y/n. I continue walking down the path. "Y/n!" I yell. "Matt!" She yells back. "Where are you!" I shout. "I don't know!" She yells back in a shaky voice. "You're okay baby, just stay still, and I'll come to you." I shout.
I keep walking for another few minutes until I hear shaky cries in the distance. "Y/n?" I say. "Matt?" I hear a shaky voice reply. I turn another corner and I see her. "Oh my god." I say in relief. She's crying. We run towards each other and she jumps into my arms. I feel tears on my shirt.
"Oh my god baby, don't ever do that again." I say, kissing her head. "I'm s-sorry, I-I thought you guys where b-behind me." She says shakily. I just stand there and rub her back. "I was so worried." I whisper into her ear. I lift her chin up so she's looking at me, and place a kiss on her lips.
"Where's Chris?" She asks. "He stayed back where him and I were before, let's go find him." I say, now resting my hand on her waist to make sure she stays by my side.
Fast forward - y/n pov
Matt and I have been walking for about 10 minutes and we find Chris waiting for us. "Y/n oh my god." He said walking up to me and pulling me into a hug. "Where were you." He asked, pulling away from you. "I don't know, I thought you guys were behind me and I guess I took a few turns and ended up in the middle of the woods." You explain. "Come on, let's go get Nick and Madi." He says, patting your back.
You 3 walk out of the woods, back to the thrift store. Just as we make it to the front of the store, Nick and Madi walk out of the store with handfuls of bags. "Hey guys, you been waiting long?" Nick asks. You, Matt and Chris just begin to laugh. "What?" He asks.
