[ Hi! It's been a while!! Thanks
for waiting!!! Here's the next part!
How does Adaman feel?! :(  Let's find out ]

Night had fallen. Today's duties ended with instructing the younger Galaxy Team members how to patrol Jubilife borders during the festival.

My body ached from training and rest was much needed, but I knew sleep would be out of the question as long Adaman was on my mind. Ignoring my sore muscles, and the late moon, I boarded a carriage and headed straight for the Crimson Mirelands.

It was raining. The constant pitter-patter and swerving of the carriage served as a good distraction for my mind.

Upon reaching the Galaxy Team's settlement, I switched from the carriage to Wyrdeer.

Riding the large Pokémon in the rain at night was never the smartest move, but I'd done it several times for urgent Galaxy missions. And to me, this was an urgent mission.

My fingers gripped Wyrdeer's damp fur. Its hooves clopped through the lands, echoing loudly as we hastily avoided hostile pokémon.

We finally reached the Diamond Settlement where a few members patrolled the area. They bowed once I dismounted Wyrdeer.

I made a beeline for Adaman's hut.

"You shouldn't go in there," a patroller held up a hand of warning.

"Why not?"

"Adaman's... in a mood," he grimaced.

My stomach flopped thinking about how upset he must be.

I pulled at the door to the room.

Locked.

"Maybe try again tomorrow? Your usual guest hut is available," the guard offered.

Impatiently, I knocked at the door.

No answer.

I kept knocking.

The more I did this, the more the guard's eyes filled with fear.

"Leave!"

Adaman's voice finally growled from within.

"I don't want to be disturbed!"

The guard flinched and rushed away.

The door swung open.

My heart shook.

This was the first time in a long time where Adaman's eyes greeted me with anger.

"You shouldn't be here. You should be sleeping," Adaman backed away from the door and retreated back into his room.

"I didn't want to waste time," I walked inside and closed the door.

It was then that I caught a whiff of alcohol. I eyed the half-empty bottle of sake on the side table, across from the crackling fire place. Adaman wasn't much of a drinker.

The clan leader sat on the cushioned floor mat, leaning back on his hands.

"About earlier today," I started, "It was Cyllene and Kamado's idea to make it seem like I'm on a date with Rei,"

"I know," Adaman spoke.

"They told you?"

"No. I know their intentions and I know you,"

"So why are you upset with me?"

I sat on the floor mat next to him. We weren't close enough to be touching, but we were close enough that I could smell the sake on his breath.
