A knock at the door woke me up.

The sun beamed brightly through the window, but it should not have been. I always woke up right at dawn, the sun should not be this bright.

I opened my eyes to the mid-morning sun.

"What?!" I jumped out of bed in panic.

'It's mid morning?'

There was a draft. I found myself in only a t-shirt.

I yelped once I saw a half-naked Adaman had been lying next to me the whole night through.

Adaman moaned sleepily, turning over to block the sun, revealing his muscular back.

I felt myself blush at the sight.

No! This is no time to gawk!

I quickly knelt down to shake him awake, "Adaman!".

"Y/N...?" he groaned into the pillows. His half-asleep voice tugged at an inner desire.

"Adaman! It's mid-morning. We have to leave,"

He managed to roll over and sit up, rubbing his eyes.

That sleepy look is so- stop, brain! This is not the time for this!

There was another knock at the door.

"Y/N?" Irida's voice called from outside.

"Shit."

Adaman and I looked at each other in alarm.

We rushed to put on all our clothes.

I had just pulled my shirt over my head, and was surprised with a peck on my cheek.

"See you after today's mission," Adaman's raspy morning voice felt like Butterfree fluttering in my stomach.

Before I could think of a response, the blue-haired boy hopped onto the windowsill, and gave me little wink. He slid open the window and jumped outside out of sight.

'I hope no one sees him'.

"Y/N!"

"Sorry, Irida!" I quickly rushed over to the door and threw it open.

In the Afternoon

Irida and I had just finished our mission for the day, dealing with a pesky group of Aipom. It was all dealt with - for now.

We returned to the main campsite where Professor Laventon and the other Galaxy Team members waited for our return.

"Well, well, well..." Adaman crossed his arms, standing next to Rei.

Adaman's reddish-brown eyes met mine for a split second before he switched to his usual brow raise at Irida.

"Looks like Rei and I finished our mission before you," he theatrically looked down at his nails as if they had been waiting all day for us.

"We finished a while ago. Y/N and I were just having a chat - girl to girl," Irida crossed her arms in defence.

Irida was telling the truth. We had finished our mission definitely more than an hour ago. Just like always, we spent a lot of our time together talking while training our Pokemon against the wild ones.
