Hiccups POV

I've never ran so fast in all my life. I just found out I have to kill a Monstrous Nightmare and so the event doesn't get ruined Berk is checking the woods for all dragons so I have to hide Toothless. "Bud you here?" When I couldn't see him I started searching everywhere. What if they found him and I was too late, just as I was about to give up hope Toothless bounded out of the bush. "Hey bud we have to go on a flight to hide from Berkians okay" we then took off into the air.

Stoicks POV

"Did you find any dragons?" I said, my son has a chance to prove he is a Viking and I don't want it ruined by any beast. "We didn't Cheif" "Okay everyone go home and I will do one more check of the island." I was walking around and doing my final check when I realised how long it had been since I had been in the woods, I used to know them like the back of my hand. I was about to leave until I saw something land in the cove it was...a NIGHT FURY!! I ran down and charged at the beast when I heard "DAD DON'T!" I looked to see my son, was he defending this beast. "Hiccup what are you doing?" "Dad we don't have to kill dragons they are kind creatures" he was defending it and out of all dragons a Night Fury. "Hiccup they have killed HUNDREDS OF US" "AND WE'VE KILLED THOUSANDS OF THEM!" He yelled back I looked at the beast and charged at it but before I could strike it down Hiccup called it over. "Please dad don't kill him" he was betraying his people, his tribe. "YOU'VE THROWN YOUR LOT IN WITH THEM YOUR NOT A VIKING YOUR NOT MY SON, YOU ARE BANISHED FROM BERK FOR TREASON NOW LEAVE!" He stepped back with shock and then walked over to the dragon and mounted it and took off. He was riding a dragon?

Hiccups POV

"YOU'VE THROWN YOUR LOT IN WITH THEM YOUR NOT A VIKING YOUR NOT MY SON, YOU ARE BANISHED FROM BERK FOR TREASON NOW LEAVE!" My dad yelled I was gonna say something but it wasn't the right time for one of my sarcastic moments. So I just walked over to Toothless mounted him and took off. As soon as we left the island I was just frozen in shock I could never return to my home again. I started to cry I would never see anyone I knew again. But Berk would probably be happy without the runt there, Toothless saw me crying and just did an empathetic coo. He was the only thing I had left of my old life on Berk I just hugged him and we continued flying.

Stoicks POV

I was walking to the village when I just realised what I had done I had gotten rid of the last person in my family. But he betrayed the tribe so it had to be done. I called a meeting in the great Hall to tell them about the traitor. "Berk I have called you together to tell you that my son has been...killed by a Night Fury. The Dragon killing trials will be stopped and Snotlout will take his place as heir" Gasps could be heard throughout the crowd, I did not say another word and sat down. I don't know why I didn't tell them the truth that I banished him. But it's better as a secret I don't want this message of peace with dragons to get leaked around the archipelago.

Astrids POV

I could not believe it Hiccup was dead and he was killed by a dragon. I wanted revenge even though I didn't like him he was still nice to be around. So after the meeting in the great Hall me and the other teens came up with a plan for revenge. "We should meet up tommorow and spend the whole day looking for dragons" Tuff said. "Something is suspicious here" Fishlegs said. "What do you mean" Ruff replied we looked at Fishlegs as he said "well Stoick was so quick to announce that Snotlout would be taking over as heir and he was so calm about everything even though his son just died." I just realised he was right something was not adding up "Fishface it's nothing, your over thinking it." Snotlout was right It's probably nothing we all deal with grief in different ways
