10. Trapped leaders

Hiccups POV

It has been about a month since we fought the Berkians. We still haven't gotten the edge back. We decided to keep calling me Rider just in case they are spying on us. I was working in my temporary hut when I heard someone from the temporary clubhouse scream "RIDER COME HERE ITS URGENT" I sprinted over as quickly as I could.

Stoicks POV

We are currently on their island spying on them to see if our trap works and they fall for it. Their leader suddenly ran over to where they all were and we listened to their conversation.

Astrids POV

"The Chief of Berk has been taken by Viggo" I said to Hiccup we all were really nervous. "That's what you called me over for" Hiccup said and he started to walk off. "Don't you care?" Snotlout said. "Nope not one bit" Hiccup replied. "Okay that's it...Hiccup he's your dad you don't care if he dies" I said it was a serious conversation so I'm using his real name. He pulled off his helmet and said very clearly "No I don't care" "but if Stoick dies Berk has no Chief and the heirs are gone" Fishlegs said. "Then get Snotlout to go back I don't see how this is my problem" Hiccup said. "Your the real heir to Berk you should care" I said. "You guys were banished for five years...I was disowned and banished for the rest of my life I can't go back even if I wanted to. I'm also supposed to be dead" he seemed pretty angry while saying all of this. "So you can go save him but to me those Berkians aren't worth it and it's better if that awful Chief is left to die.." Hiccup said and then stormed out of the room. "He can't really mean it can he?" "He can, he said before he never visited Berk after he left"

Stoicks POV

"The Chief of Berk has been taken by Viggo" Astrid said. This is going to work I can feel it but the kids did have a worried look on their faces "That's what you called me over for" Rider said and he started to walk off. What... "Don't you care?" Snotlout said. "A leader should care for others" Spitelout said angrily I agree he doesn't care about his team. "Nope not one bit" Rider snapped back I felt anger rising. "Okay that's it" Astrid said what did she mean "Hiccup he's your dad you don't care if he dies" WHAT!? "That's Hiccup...no way" the Ingermans said. Could it be? He then pulled off his helmet and I saw my long lost son standing there. "No I don't care" he said that made all the others get really angry "but if Stoick dies Berk has no Chief and the heirs are gone" Fishlegs said. We agreed, the teens really do still love Berk "Then get Snotlout to go back I don't see how this is my problem" Hiccup said. He really had a personality change "You're the real heir to Berk you should care" Astrid said. "We don't want him back" Spitelout said I then rolled my eyes. "You guys were banished for five years...I was disowned and banished for the rest of my life I can't go back even if I wanted to I'm also supposed to be dead" the other adults looked at me "you said he was dead" I shook my head no. "I saw he was training a dragon so I banished him" they looked at me "it was for the best no one missed him" Spitelout said. "So you can go save him but to me those Berkians aren't worth it and it's better if that awful Chief is left to die.." Hiccup said that hurt me and this time all of us were really mad. "He can't really mean it can he?" "He can, he said before he never visited Berk after he left." Astrid said Never? He doesn't miss anyone? The teens then mounted their dragons and left. "You go follow the teens I will wait here and deal with my traitor son..." They agreed and went to the boat.

Hiccups POV

I walked to my hut and I didn't regret anything I just said all the respect I had for my dad is gone. I went and grabbed some maps and the dragon eye then went to the club house. I had a weird feeling someone was watching me. "Okay...what's your angle Viggo" I studied the maps and opened the dragon eye to find the next location we needed to hit. Suddenly something stormed out of the bush it was...Stoick...

I had put my helmet on thank goodness "so trespassing again I never set foot on your island. The teens are gone by the way" "ohh I know but who are they looking for" "for....you...WHERE DID YOU LEAD THEM!" "there fine. But you aren't. You know what this whole time you reminded me of someone but the amount of disrespect you gave me I then believed there was no way you were who I thought but now my thoughts are confirmed. You should have kept the rider disguised and not revealed who you are" I was confused and started to back away Toothless was standing right next to me ready to pounce up and kill him. Stoick smiled an evil smile and then finished his sentence "Hiccup...."
