3. Dragon riders on Berk

7yrs later

Astrids POV

Me and the others were out in the woods being stupid when suddenly 4 dragons showed up infornt of us. The dragon raids had stopped a week after Hiccup died for unknown reasons. We hadn't seen dragons in years. We were about to reach for our weapons when suddenly the dragons started acting like dogs? They were being calm and not attacking what was going on the dragons were snuggling up to us. "What is going on?!" Fishlegs yelled. "I don't know? I think the dragons are being friendly?" I said. Before anyone could reply the dragons flicked us onto their backs and flew us around "AHHHH!" We all yelled.

A few hours later...

Once we landed again we were in shock "that was amazing maybe dragons aren't the beast we thought they were?" I said "yeah maybe they aren't" Snotlout said. "Hey do you remember how Hiccup died and his dad didn't seem sad" I said they all nodded with confusion I continued "and how he magically got good in dragon training" they nodded again. "I think he might of trained a dragon" everyone was shocked "that would make sense we could check the backroom in the forge maybe something's there" Snotlout said. "It's a good idea but I have to put Thalia to bed, come on Fishlegs" Ruff said. Yeah they are married and have a kid she is so cute. "Okay I guess we'll go look" I said. "You dragons stay here hidden" I still don't know what to do with the dragons.

At the forge

"Hey Gobber" we said "hiya" he replied. "Hey does the backroom in the forge still have Hiccups stuff in it" Tuff asked. "Yeah it does you can go look if you want" he said sadly he was the who took Hiccups death really hard. "Thanks" we walked up and we saw how dusty it was then we saw the wall covered in sketches of different things we didn't get, so we grabbed them and Hiccups Journal. We ran to Fishlegs and Ruffs house. "What did you find" he asked "things we didn't get but maybe you do." Snotlout said. "What does his journey say?" I said. We opened it and it had a map with a bunch of X's and it was all scribbled on and hard to make out. "What is that" Tuff asked "it's a map of the forest on Berk what was Hiccup looking for?" We turned to the next page to find a sketch of a dragon. "What kind of dragon is that?" I asked "I've never seen anything like it before?" Fishlegs said. We looked in the plans and from what Fishlegs could make out it was a tail. "So Hiccup studied a dragon and got killed" I said We all looked sadly and nodded. I don't think that is the full answer though, but we ran to the forge and put the stuff away and ran to the woods.

A month later...

It had been a month and we had all bonded with our dragons pretty well. We had to keep them a secret from everyone on Berk I had a blue and yellow Nadder named Stormfly. The twins had a green Zippleback named Barf and Belch, Snotlout had a red Monstrous Nightmare called Hookfang and Fishlegs had an orange Gronkle called Meatlug. We had been training every day with them and I think our parents are starting to get suspicious.

Stoicks POV

It had been 7 years since Hiccup was banished from Berk he was thought to be dead by everyone in Berk. Today I had to have a meeting with the teens parents. "They are in the forest everyday" Spitelout yelled, "they are starting to behave like Hiccup did, gone everyday and not home till dark" the Hoffersons yelled. "We can go check up on them now in the forest" we walked to the forest and it brought back memories from that awful night 5 years ago. We ran to the cove and what I saw shocked me they were riding dragons their parents were furious. "KIDS!" They looked up in fear.

Astrids POV

Our parents were standing infront of us angry. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THESES BEASTS" Stoick yelled. "They are not beasts they are kind creatures" when I said that his face changed like he remembered something he then looked at our parents and they nodded he yelled "YOU ARE BANISHED FROM BERK FOR TREASON LEAVE!" we mounted our dragons and left.

An hour later....

It was quiet we were all scared and then Thalia broke the silence "Mummy why was the Cheif getting mad did we do something wrong" "no honey he was just being silly" Ruff said Fishlegs then went up to Ruff and signalled to give him Thalia he hugged her and we continued flying.

20 mins later...

We flew into a huge storm and all of us got knocked off our dragons I was trying to reach for air and I saw Ruff trying to save her daughter and the dragons panicking looking for us, Fishlegs was swimming after Tuff and Snotlout. Next thing I know, us and our dragons are picked up and carried off the last thing I saw was a black dragon and a man sitting on top of it.
