4. Meet Night Rider

Night Right POV

Me and Toothless were doing our usual dumb thing and riding out in a storm when suddenly I saw a group of people fall into the ocean. I did a dragon call and I had a flock of dragons behind me "DIVE!!" I yelled at them in dragonese and Toothless grabbed a girl out of the ocean and the other dragons had some dragons and Vikings in their talons. I saw a little girl who was just slipping out of one of the Vikings arms I swerved under and grabbed her. We then flew back to the island. Once we landed I lit the fire and brought in the Vikings and laid them next to it. It was cold and stormy and they were soaking wet. I brought the dragons to the healers area and checked them for injuries. Me and Toothless then went to bed.

Astrids POV

I shot up awake and saw we were inside next to a fire. Were we back at Berk? I woke everyone up "where are we and where are our dragons." We all looked confused until we heard a voice "your awake" we looked to see a man with a helmet on, one leg and wearing weird armour (like in Httyd 2) standing by the door. I said "Who are you and where are our dragons, if you hurt them" "woah calm down I'm a friend to dragons, your dragons are in a healing room being checked for injuries" we looked at him confused "last night I was flying my dragon and we saw you in the ocean so we helped you" he said. "Who are you?" I asked "Most know me as Night Rider" "WAIT WHAT!" we were shocked Night Rider is a viglantee who frees dragons we thought he was a myth. "I can take you to your dragons if you wish?" he asked I then said "that would be great."

A few minutes later...

"Here they are, they are all in pretty good condition just a few minor injuries" he said. "Thankyou" "My name's Astrid and this is Stormfly" "I'm Snotlout and this is Hookfang" Snotlout said "I'm Fishlegs and this is Meatlug, that's my Wife Ruffnut and our Daughter Thalia" Fishlegs said "I'm Tuffnut and I'm Ruffnut and this is our dragon Barf and Belch" the muttons heads said. The rider laughed and said "Nice to meet you, I can't tell you my real name but you can call me Ryder this is my dragon Toothless he's my brother and my daughter Crystal" his daughter looked so familiar her eyes they...I don't know. "What kind of dragon is that" Fishlegs said "hes a Night Fury the last one" he said sadly. He continued and said "why were you out there?" "We were banished from our island for befriending dragons and we have no where to go" I said. He looked at us and then said "you can stay here if you want" "wait really" we yelled. "Yeah I can show you round." We walked around, this place was magical and he was so kind. "Hi you're pretty" Crystal said. She had the cutest smile. "Thankyou you're pretty too" she laughed and ran off to Ryder. "You can stay here and go anywhere apart from my room" we nodded and walked in. "I'll let you get settled in, come on Crystal" he said and walked off. "Hey guys did that little girl look familiar" everyone nodded but no one could think who she looked liked. But we are safe from Berk that's all that matters.

Later that night...

We were having dinner when I asked "where is Crystals mother?" He looked down and said "she passed away a few years ago sadly" we went quiet until Snotlout asked "where are you from and how did you end up here?" He answered and said "I come from...the...whisper tribe and I was banished by my father 5 years ago for befriending a dragon." "Maybe we aren't so different after all" I said
