5. Wait Hiccup!?!?

Astrids POV

We had been here for a full week and life has never been better. Ryder still won't tell us his real name or reveal his identity, but we respect his privacy. Thalia and Crystal have become good friends they are always laughing and smiling. It still bugs me I can't figure out who she looks like.

Later that morning..

We were all in the kitchen except Ryder when suddenly Crystal ran in I asked "what do you have there?" She laughed then said "daddy's helmet he's chasing me but I'm hiding from him" we all started laughing. "She's a true prankster" Tuff said. A voice came from down the hall came into the kitchen saying "Crystal give me back my hel....met" he paused and looked up to see us in shock. "Hiccup?"

Ryder's POV

I ran after Crystal and ran into the kitchen without looking "Crystal give me back my hel...met" I had just realised what had happened and looked to see them shocked. "Hiccup?" Astrid said "umm...hi" was all I managed to say. "A GHOST!" Snotlout yelled. "I am not a ghost it's me Hiccup alive." "Why would you think I'm dead?" "Because your dad told us you were killed by a Night Fury" I felt shocked my dad lied to the entire village. Why? "Hiccup you have some explaining to do, did you seriously just abandon your village and fake your death THATS THE WORST THING ANYONE COULD DO!" they all continued saying how awful I was for abandoning them but then I just yelled at them "I WAS BANISHED!" They were all shocked at the fact that Stoick lied. Then Astrid said "tell us what happens from the beginning what have you been doing this past 7 years?" I sighed.

Astrids POV

I was so mad at him for what he did abandoning his village but then when I heard him say banished I was shocked why would Stoick lie. "tell us what happens from the beginning what have you been doing this past 7 years?" I said, I had so many questions, Who was his wife and how did she die, what happened to his leg and the dragons tail, what were the plans in his room? He sighed and then said "7 years ago on one of the raids I told you I shot down a Nightfury and I wasn't lying. The night I was dragged into my house after being made fun of, I ran out the back and went to the woods to look I looked for ages with my map and was about to give up when then I saw a broken tree I followed it and saw the dragon. I was about to kill it but I couldn't so I set it free. And everyday after dragon training I was hanging out with him, building him a new tail and working on how we could fly together." "The plans in the forge and the map in your journal I thought the dragon looked familiar" I said, he looked at us confused but continued. "The the night before the Dragon killing they searched the island for dragons so I ran to the cove to hide him and when we got back I found my dad looking at me, we started to argue and then he said 'you've thrown your lot in with them your not a Viking your not my son you are banished from Berk for treason now leave' and I climbed onto Toothless and left" we all gasped we were just banished, but he was disowned and banished. "Then what happened?"

"Me and Toothless found the cause for the raids the Red Death. And she was evil if the dragons didn't bring enough food back they would be eaten themselves. So we killed it but I got knocked out by the dragon and Toothless saved me but I lost my leg in the process. We got home and we found a girl on the beach her name was Amber." We all smiled "we became good friends I taught her how to ride a dragon, she had an orange and blue Nadder called Bella. We did missions everyday and we grew closer. Then I asked her to marry me 4 years ago she said yes and a year later we had Crystal." I looked at her and she gave me a smile. "We had made our fair share of enemies along the way so the same year Crystal was born we were all shot down on a mission, and held prisoner we were tortured till we talked and on the day we escaped we were snuck up on and Dagur my enemy killed her and her dragon infornt of me." We were shocked as he buried his face in his hands. "I didn't know what to do so I went back to our home and worked hard to complete her one goal in life 'peace between Vikings and dragons.' we all looked at eachother and then I told him "well now you have a team to help you complete that goal." He looked up in shock and then smiled.
