9. The Return

Astrids POV

I woke up bright and early and noticed that Hiccup and Toothless had only just landed. "Were you out there all night" I asked. "Yeah, don't worry I've pulled plenty of all nighters" he replied we started laughing. Then the others started to wake up and we all went in a group huddle to discuss what we were going to do. "So what's the plan" Snotlout asked "you guys are going to return your parents to Berk and I will stay here and try to figure out a strategy to get rid of the Shellfire" we all agreed and started to prepare then we grabbed our parents and headed towards Berk. I knew the only reason that Hiccup didn't want to go was because he hates Berk

Hiccups POV

I waved to them goodbye and then sat down and started to plan our strategy. It was going to be a very hard task how would we get through the Armads. And even if we did get through the Armada there is a dragon proof ship which the hunters are guarding also not to mention the huge dragon. I grabbed the book of Dragons and started to look for any enemies of the Shellfire but found nothing. So I grabbed the dragon eye to continue to look for any weaknesses on the dragon and then found out that the Shellfire has one enemy and one enemy only the Submaripper.

Astrids POV

"You know I'd stop squirming if I were you it's a long way down" I threatened. We had been flying for about an hour and they were starting to get out of control trying to hit our Dragons with their weapons and a threat was needed.

A few hours later...

Berk had just come into our sites I really didn't realise how much I missed the island. At first when we left we all came and visited it sometimes then we stopped but we still visited it once in a while. I asked Hiccup if he ever visited when he left and his answer was a flat out no. He truly did not care about the island or the people on it anymore. And I mean who could blame him, he was Banished and disowned buy your own father. We flew closer to Berk and landed on the beach and without even saying goodbye we took off and didn't look back I'm starting to think we should have.

As we started to fly away arrows and catapults started flying at us we dodged them and saw that the whole island was firing at us. We were using evasive manoeuvres to not get caught but unfortunately our dragons were struck with arrows and we crashed onto the closest island. As soon as we crashed we saw viking boats heading for the island and quickly sent a terror mail to Hiccup. We tried to get our dragons to move but they wouldn't the Berkians must have poisoned the arrows so now the Dragons can't fly.

Hiccups POV

I saw a terror coming towards me flying as fast as it could. I grabbed the letter off it's leg and saw it was from the dragon riders.

Hiccup,

We dropped our parents off at Berk and then the Berkians started shooting at us out dragons got hit with poisonous arrows and we're downed we crashed on another island. The Berkians are headed straight for us and we need your help to get back, please come as fast as you can.

-The Dragon Riders

"TOOTHLESS!" he ran over to me with a panicked look. I sent a terror mail to the Beserkers. "Crystal, Thalia hide and wait for Heather okay don't come out unless it's her okay." They nodded and then I ran and mounted Toothless and we left.

Astrids POV

We pulled our dragons into a cave and managed to hide them but we had to cause different distractions to keep the Berkians away from them. I just hope that Hiccup gets here soon.

Hiccups POV

Toothless was flying at the fastest speed until we found the island they were talking about we landed and started sneaking around. "Guys you here?" "Hiccup over here" I ran over and they led me to a cave I then saw the injured Dragons. I ran straight over to them and started to patch the wounds.

A few minutes later....

"They will be fine they just need rest in the meantime we have to lead the Berkians away from this cave" they all nodded and we ran out to do just that.

Stoicks POV

All of the Vikings started running around looking for the shot down dragons it had been a while and we had started to give up hope until I heard someone yell "a Nightfury footprint" they were on this island and their leader was here as well. It was only a matter of time before we found them.

Astrids POV

We split up to cause our distractions Im with Fishlegs and Snotlout. We ran over to start our plan when a huge explosion went off in the distance.....the twins

Ruffs POV

Hiccups gave us a thing of Nightmare gel to use as a distraction but we started arguing and it exploded where we were, giving away our position. Astrid and the others ran over "what in the name of Thor happened?" Fishlegs asked. We were about to answer but then a group of Viking tackled us to the ground.

Hiccups POV

I heard a sudden explosion and by the time I got there I saw my team was captured by Berkians. I hid and watched as they were taken deeper into the forest being held hostage. They were pulled in front of the chief and he started to threaten them but little did he know that I always have a plan. "Hand over your dragons to us NOW!" He yelled. I threw a capsule full of Zippleback gas under them and the gas started to leak out "what are you doing" Stoick yelled at them. I stepped out and said "it's not what they're doing it's what I'm doing" I then lit inferno and the gas ignited. My team manged to slip away and we ran to the cave and hid there.

Stoicks POV

When the gas cleared I saw the Vikings gone. "That leader of theirs is no good" Spitelout said. "perhaps it's time we expose his identity and kill him" I said and with that we went to the ship and left. I then saw all the dragons fly off into the distance.
