Dad: come on kids it's time to go to the selection
Me: coming !
I got ready into my usual grey dress colour of abnegation my born faction. When I get downstairs my dad and twin brother are waiting for me. I smile at my twin and we walk out of our house to go to the choosing ceremony. We get to there after a small five minute walk and get in line to wait for the doors to open to get inside The Hub. Since our dad is the leader of Abnegation we are the first in line and they let us in earlier then the others. Me and my brother go sit down in the abnegation section while our dad go talk with the other faction leader.
Me(look at my brother): What did you get on your aptitude test ?
Tobias: Dauntless and you ?
Me(sigh in relief): me too
Kang(to the guard): open the doors !
The guard open the doors and everyone enters and go sit in their section of course dauntless are the last faction to get in and they get in running and laughing. The leader of the ceremony this year is Jack Kang he's the leader of Candor dad is sitting besides me and when Kang start to talk I start to get nervous so I instinctively take my twin hand to reassure myself. Knowing me Tobias squiz my hand which helps me calm down and I start to listen to the story that I have heard thousands of times. I must have spaced out because I come back to my senses when my brother name get called out.
Kang: Tobias Eaton
Tobias gets up and walk up to Kang who hands him a knife. He takes it and walk up with assurance to the dauntless bowl which has hot coals in it. Once he's done he walk down looking at me one last time before going to sit down with the rest of the dauntless faction who welcome him with applause and a few taps on the shoulder.
Kang: Thea Eaton
I take a deep breath and get up. I walk up to Kang and he hands me a new knife. I take it and walk directly towards the bowl of hot coals. I put my left hand above the coals and cut my palm with the knife letting a single blood drop on the hot coals I look at my father who looks like he's about to burst out in anger. He wanted at least one of his children to stay with him to take over as one of the two leader of abnegation. Sorry dad you won't have anymore children to hit. I smirk at him as I walk down after taking the cloth that Kang handed me as he took back the knife. I look at my new faction and go sit down with them as the ceremony continue and I once again space out until the end of the ceremony in which all dauntless get out laughing and when they put a foot out of The Hub they start to run I follow them smiling and finally feeling free. As I see some dauntless starting to climb the train rail I chuckle and follow climbing up pretty fast. Then we wait a little and the train get here I follow the move starting to run and jump in the train when a door which is open gets to my level. I get a few taps on the shoulder and I take a place at a window looking at the view.
???: Beautiful isn't ?
Me(smile): yeah it is
???: I'm Tori I was a representative of your new faction
Me: Nice to meet you Tori
Tori: had enough of abnegation uh
Me: you could say that I just did like most people I chose the faction that the aptitude test told me
Tori(chuckle and look outside): I guess get ready newbie it's time to jump in a few seconds !
I smirk and wait for her to jump once I see how she did I copy her moves the best I can and follow her to a building. She gets up on the small wall and look at us.
Tori: alright newbies this behind me is the initiation if your a true dauntless you'll jump with no hesitation if you don't have the balls to do that... well if you never jump you become factionless who would like to volunteer for first jump ?
Me(smirk and walk in front of the group with no hesitation): me
Tori(smirk): good all you have to do is jump down there
I nod and get up with her on the wall. I look down and damn that's very deep oh well I'm kinda crazy so. I turn around smirking.
Me: see ya on the other side

I let my self fall back first and I scream a big "yeehaa" a second later I find myself down on the ground after hitting a net and someone pulling me down.
???: first jumper ! (Look at me) what's your name ? If you want you can change it
Me(nod and think for a second): Phoenix
???: I'm Max one of the leaders now you can stand there while we wait for the others to jump
I nod and go stand where he said and wait for the others to jump. The next person after me to jump is apparently my brother which makes me smirk. He gets down and as Max explain that he can change his name he look at the board on which my new name is written and he takes a second to think about it.
Tobias: Well then I guess my name is gonna be Four
I smile at him sadly knowing the reason of this Four and for four fear... he come stands besides me and we wait for the rest of the people to jump. After about 30 minutes Tori jump down and Max help her get down the net.
Tori(stand besides Max): alright the dauntless-born you can go to the cafeteria already the transfers you can follow me I'll give you a tour
We follow her and she gives us a tour I memorize the best I can the place and the tour ends with the cafeteria. We go sit down and To- I mean Four sits in front of me.
