"You sure this is a good idea?" Touya questioned as the two stood at the home of the Todoroki family. He'd dyed his hair black once again to hide his identity as he'd been doing, although he'd be lying if he said he didn't hope his siblings would recognize him.
"I don't think I've ever had a good idea, if I'm being honest," Shoto admitted.
"Hah, that seems about right," Touya joked.
Shoto glanced up at him before looking at the gate, reaching forward and pushing it open before slipping through. Dabi followed him through, staying silent to hide the anxiety he felt about going back home. Truthfully, he knew everywhere he looked would hold bad memories, but he was willing to give this a chance.
Shoto moved up to the front door and opened it, looking back at Touya and opening his mouth to say something. However, he was cut off as a familiar voice began to talk.
"Oh, Shoto!" Fuyumi called from inside, forcing the door open all the way. "I'm so glad you came!" She smiled as her gaze landed on Dabi.
"Oh! Dabi, right?" She asked, and he hesitantly nodded, silently looking over his sister. "Shoto's told us a lot about you! I'm Fuyumi, his sister." She held out a hand for him to shake, and he didn't even move as he just stared at her. She cleared her throat and retracted her hand uncomfortably.
"Uh, Natsuo's already inside," she said, looking at Shoto.
"Good," Shoto replied, looking back at Dabi. "Let's go meet him then."
The taller looked at him and slowly nodded, stepping inside after Shoto and taking his shoes off before following his younger siblings to the dining room. When they entered, Natsuo immediately glared up at Dabi.
"This is Natsuo," Fuyumi introduced happily. "Natsuo, this is-"
"I know who he is," Natsuo mumbled, his gaze returning to the table where the food was sitting. "Watch yourself, villain," he warned. "I don't need to lose another brother."
Dabi blinked as he took in the sight of his younger brother, huffing before moving to sit beside Shoto. Fuyumi moved to sit beside Natsuo, across from Touya.
"So, you're working to be a hero now?" Fuyumi asked as she grabbed some food.
"Yeah," Dabi replied. "I have a license."
"They really just give those to anybody, huh?" Natsuo grumbled.
"He earned the Commission's trust," Shoto spoke. "They don't give them to just anyone."
"Last time I checked, he burned a bunch of criminals alive for no reason."
"They pissed me off," Dabi mumbled in response, taking a bite of his food.
"Do you roast everyone who pisses you off?" Natsuo glared at him.
"Natsuo-" Fuyumi tried.
"No, Fuyumi," he cut in. "This guy's a murderer. I don't like that he's literally living with Shoto."
"You can calm down," Dabi spoke flatly. "He's the only reason I'm trying to be better."
Natsuo clearly wanted to argue back, but Touya's eyes pierced into his soul, and he stopped as he felt something familiar about them. Fuyumi awkwardly looked over at Shoto.
"So... you got your license too?" She asked, trying to change the subject.
Shoto smiled slightly. "Yeah," he replied. "I had to get beat up by a bunch of kids to do it though."
Touya looked at him. "You got a bunch of them?"
Shoto looked back. "You didn't?"
"We got one kid, Kota."
