Restrained

Ivy

I turn to my side. When sleep doesn't come back to me I cracked my eyes open, looking around in a dark room. I can't tell if it's morning or not because there's no windows in here. To be honest, I haven't seen any windows in the place at all. I guess that's what the torches are for. I saw and stretched out my stiff limbs and crawled out of bed. I looked through the drawers to find some norMaz clothes, but only found dresses. I pull out another black dress, this time there's sprinkles of gold on the dress but it's still black, and it's still a high low dress.

I take off my pajamas to slip on the dress. I look in the mirror in the bathroom and see a girl looking at me. She doesn't look like me. Well, she has the same face as me, but her eyes are dull. it looks as if she's dead on the inside. I smile but it comes out as a grinch. I sigh and leave the bathroom thinking. I need to find Leo. God knows what they may be doing to him. I go search for some shoes, other than heels. I pick up a pair of black combat boots and look at them. They look sturdy enough. I searched for the socks and I said on the edge of the bed I put them on. once I put the boots on. I can see that they go up to my knees. I guess this is about as close I'm going to get to regular shoes.

I lace them up and rush to the bathroom to brush my teeth and hair. I don't bother straightening it so I leave it waving down the middle of my back. I flinch when somebody knocks on the door. I rushed over to open it. and a guard is standing there with his hands behind his back.

"Raz has requested for your company." He tells me.

"Um, okay. Give me a minute" I tell him.

He nods his head and leaves. I close the door and press my back to it. I can take this time to go search for Leo.I don't even know where to start, let alone how big this place is. I sigh. After I made up my mind to go, I took a deep breath and opened the door. I go down the halls and see the door standing in their positions. they don't bother to look in my direction as I wander down the side of the hall. Maybe if I wander around, I'll find some stairs going down to the cells. I smile with hope. Maybe Leo and I can escape this place together.

I wander around the halls for what seems about an hour. I sigh. Raz must be looking for me by now. I better go back. I turn back the way I came. At some point in time, I stumble across a stairway leading down. My heart pounds in my chest as I stand there, looking at the steps. Behind me I hear footsteps, and I shake my head taking me out of my hopeful trance. I dash for the steps, thanking god that the boots don't make any noise. I stop half way down the steps to hear them pass and come to a stop. I can hear them as they start talking, but still not in english. I roll my eyes. I swear they're hiding something. I make my way down the stairs knowing that I'm stuck for now. There's a torch here and there, but it's dark still. I turn a corner and see cells full of people. I look sound for Leo, but all I see are dirty men who are not my Leo. I walk farther into the room and walk to the end of cells and spot Leo sitting down on the ground with his eyes closed.

"Leo!" I whisper with relief.

He looks up at me and his eyes go wide with surprise. He crawls over to me and leans back against the wall behind him. I sit down, holding the cell bars in my hand and he places his hand over mine.

"Ivy! What's going on? Who are these guys?" He asks, whispering.

"I don't know." I sigh. "They put me in this bedroom, but they're not doing anything to me yet." I whisper back to him.

"What do they want?" He asks, leaning his head on the bars.

"I don't know Leo. But they all have knives, and I don't know what they're going to do and I just-" I stop talking and start to cry silently.

He reaches through the bars, and wipes the tears from my cheeks.

"Don't cry Ivy. We'll get out of there together." He assures me.
