He better not lay a single finger on her, or I swear to the holy heavens that hold this earth that I will kill him. An ear piercing scream fills the air.
"Ivy!" I shout to no one.
I run to the door and try to open, but of course it's locked. I throw my weight into it, hoping it would open, but it's no use. Taking a step back I throw my foot into the door. It doesn't budge.
"Jake!" I shout. "I swear to the heavens!"
I keep kicking and hitting the door, throwing my weight into it, hoping it would break but it's metal. I should stop before I hurt myself, but I need to get to her. I continue to hit the door until I lose my strength.
I take the time to think things through as I slide to the floor, breathless. Ivy would never let anything happen to her. Would she? I can't tell you how many times this girl has gotten kidnapped in the last month. She trusts people too much. I should trust that she wouldn't let anything happen to her, but I can't help but to protect. I want to protect her, I need to.
