Fourteen

   You traveled with the hunting dogs for what seemed like forever. You even got to experience Teruko's age control ability. You had to share a stroller with Tachihara, which was an interesting experience, to say the least. Teruko had disguised herself as an old woman while you and Tachihara passed the time by playing rock, paper, scissors. It was fun, to an extent. Your thoughts couldn't stop drifting to the thought of Sigma. Your heart throbbed as the thoughts of the hunting dogs hurting him came to mind.
   Teruko opened the top to the stroller, laughing quietly as he turned us back to our normal ages. You stood silently beside Tachihara, your gaze fixed on the large doors that read: Communication Room. You knew that he was in there. You wanted to talk to him. To hear his voice. However, the hunting dogs stood in the way. The butterflies returned to your stomach as you began running through plans in your mind. Tachihara turned to you, tapping you gently on the shoulder.

   "Hey, uh.." he paused, waiting for you to inform him of your name.

   "Y/N L/N" You answered, anxiously biting down on your lip. Tachihara nodded, his gaze drifting to yours.

    "L/N.. Teruko wants you to help me stop the guards here"  you snapped out of your fantasy, turning toward Teruko, who smirked.

     "I'm gonna take the Kings head" Your eyes widened as the breath caught in your throat. She was going to kill Sigma. You opened your mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Your eyebrows furrowed, and you shrunk back, clutching the cloth of your shirt over where your heart is supposed to be. Teruko turned, walking up to the large doors. She opened them, leaving enough room for you to catch a glimpse of Sigma. He glanced back, his eyes widening as his gaze met yours. Just before the doors closed, you saw pain cross his expression, also with a sign of guilt. He knew what you had done, and it hurt his heart. You stood in complete silence beside Tachihara once the doors closed. You could hear gunshots and shouting. You winced, fighting back the urge to intervene. Your hold on your actions soon snapped as the sound of glass shattering echoed in your ears. You rushed forward, ignoring Tachihara's calls. You swung the door open, leaping inside. Your eyes widening as you saw the sight before you. Sigma was hanging out the window, Teruko holding him by this collar. Sigma's gaze darted to you, his eyes furrowing as he mumbled an apology. With a single tug on the hunting dogs grip, he and Teruko fell from the broken window. You dashed over to the window, watching as Teruko released herself from Sigma's grip, leaving him to fall to his death. Without really thinking your plan through, you leaped out of the broken window. Your hair flapped around your face in the wind current as you passed Teruko, who had managed to grab onto a side railing. You closed your eyes, holding out you right arm.   You were only a few feet away from Sigma, which meant you could save him.

   "Ability: Specticals Of The Mind" the wind blew past your ears, blocking out the sounds of Teruko's worried tone as she called after you. At this point, you could only hear your thoughts. You made it so Sigma's and your body slowed in speed. You reached out, pulling his body flush against yours as you wrapped your arms around his waist. Then you used your ability to land the both of you on a short platform near the bottom of the floating Casino. You released Sigma, steadying yourself as you forced yourself to stand. Sigma gazed up at you with surprise and confusion.

  "Why.. did you save me?" He asked, his soft lavender eyes reflecting the same hurt your heart had experienced.

   "I.. I just could let you die" You explained, tears forming in your eyes. Sigma lowered his head, his lower lip quivering as he spoke.

    "Y'know.. what I was going to tell you in my office before we were inteupted was not that I was a Decay Of Angels member" he explained, catching you by surprise.

    "It was to tell you that.. I fell in love with you. I get it if you hate me. I deserve it. I just.. had to tell you the truth" tears fell from his eyes as he said it. He raised his head, surprised to see tears streaming down your face.

    "Y/N?!" He stepped forward, running his fingers through your hair and pulling your head closer to his chest.

     "What's wrong?" You sniffled, rubbing your nose with the back of your hand.

    "I'm crying because.. I fell in love with you too Sigma. I didn't know what I was feeling at first. I even shoved my feelings away and hid them. I don't hate you, I never could even if I tried" You laughed horsley, choking out a sob as you melted into his touch. Sigma's soft smile returned and he laid his chin on the top of your head.

    "I'm glad" he mumbled loud enough for you to hear.

     "I'm glad we're together again"
