Dear all who may read this including me,
Good news! The goulash was pretty tasty. My mother said it was a Hungarian goulash recipe. Thankfully, there are plenty of leftovers, so that'll be my go-to meal for the next day or two.
I just woke up after a long night of reading classics that I put off because of my busy semester. It was pretty cool of Circe to turn those men into pigs in The Odyssey. I wish I could be as strong and powerful as her. If only I was born in the same world of wonder she was.
I have no plans today and I do not want to be bored so I will be heading to some of the bookstores and coffee shops around town that I haven't been to. I remember my uncle mentioned there was a really fascinating antique bookstore called Davenport Volumes. It's located a block from the city center by the abandoned theater. I believe it's west of the center. Considering that, I'll head there first and then to Satchel's Coffeehouse, which is on the same street. I heard they have amazing bagels, the best being the one with smoked salmon and cream cheese. I'll definitely order that and my usual mocha with an extra shot of espresso. Call me coffee-dependent but life is not worth living without it.
Before I head out I'm going to eat whatever my mom had prepared for breakfast and see what my little brother is up to. Chances are, he's probably mindlessly playing videogames as usual. I wish he and I could interact and do things more but he's always stuck to his games.
Sincerely,
Douglas.
