Dear all who may be reading this including myself,

My book is gone.

This happened right after my usual appointment with Dr. Ealy. It was around 2:30 PM. We touched on the meeting that occurred yesterday with Mr. Ludwig and his surprise. He told me that I should have accepted his offer, and that I would not have to be here in this room if I did, which I laughed at. We then moved onto some crisis management techniques; it is key to be self-aware of my own reactions in order to interrupt them with deep breathing techniques before they occur.

After the appointment, I went to Satchel's. I got my usual coffee and bagel, and proceeded to read the new chapter of the unnamed book titled "Divination - Its Philosophy and Techniques." The chapter went into detail on tarot readings, scrying, throwing runes, oracle cards, and many other methods of divination. It also described how one can develop their own divination system. It also gave a ritual at the end for enhancing divination abilities. The procedure was to put oneself in a ritual circle of chalk with candles surrounding the exterior, and then chanting Kahvefu's name while staring into a dark bowl of water. The theory behind it is that chanting his name would bring about an altered state of consciousness that would allow for scrying using the dark medium of water. The procedure also included drawing a set of sigils around the bowl of water when the altered state is achieved, which it displayed in a diagram. This part was to directly enhance my divinatory capabilities.

When I finished the chapter, I went online to buy a set of tarot cards. I then went to take a much-needed restroom break. I usually just leave my items on the table when I go use the bathroom, but when I came back, I noticed the unnamed book was nowhere to be found. Surprisingly, I did not panic and was calm about this - I suppose thanks to Kahvefu's blessing and my therapy sessions. Instead, I sighed and thought rationally who may be the culprit. Only one name came to mind - Mr. Ludwig. He offered me an enormous sum of money for the book and was shocked when I did not accept it initially. He clearly has hidden intentions behind acquiring book other than for collection. To be fair, however, I did say to simply give me time to think over the offer. I suppose his impatience got the best of him.

I spent the next few minutes crafting a plan of attack. Mr. Ludwig has many stores throughout the region, but a book that mattered to him that much would likely be in his own home. I looked up his name online and found several residences, but his primary one was 2 hours away in a town called Ravenhurst in Massachusetts. I looked up several images of the property and even managed to find the blueprints of the entire home itself, which was a gorgeous colonial revival estate. God, I love the internet sometimes. Tomorrow evening I will drive to Ravenhurst without letting my family know and sneak into his home. One of the windows on the side appeared loose when I saw the home's images. It may be fixed now but I might as well try. Also, if I had to guess, a man like Mr. Ludwig definitely has a library and is actively reading the book, so I would look for the library first. I anticipate he will be sleeping by the time I'm there since I will go very late, and so I will simply go into the library to retrieve the book, maybe shit in his coffee supply too if I have time. Also, considering the fact that he robbed my book, I would like to see if I could find out clues to find out why. I will likely investigate the other parts of his library and office.

The plan is set then. I will get my book back no matter what. Tonight, I am going to do the ritual and use my newfound divinatory abilities to get more information on the situation. I also hope to ask Kahvefu for some help, maybe even learn how to place a curse upon that guy.

I am writing this from Satchel's and I will now be returning home to eat and perform the ritual.

Sincerely,

 Douglas Black.
