"Hey look, those two kids."
"They have nice clothes and even knights as their guards. They must be at least children of a rich merchants or children of unknown noble."
"What are they doing?"
Hiveta and Annisa who were talking to each other suddenly sensed that the ladies who were gossiping earlier already changed their focus to something else. Thus both of them also looked towards the direction of the broken wooden cart.
Two small kids, male and female were currently helping the previously injured beggar kid. After they were done, a knight could be seen taking the beggar kid away while the two kids started to walk towards the dessert shop where Annisa and Hiveta was sitting.
Both Hiveta and Annisa couldn't turn away their focus from them and other customers inside the shop also react the same way.
The shop owner who realized that his customers seem 'disturbed' by the two kids decided to chase them away.
"Shuhh, you guys can't come here. Go away."
"Why? We have money. You think we can't afford to eat here?" The girl with white hair and red eyes said.
She was wearing a knee length ruffle dress with appropriate jewellery and a hat to cover her from the sun. She was also wearing glove and long socks thus not much of her skin was shown.
The boy beside him looked slightly smaller and was also wearing a hat with different design. He was holding a wooden horse doll in his hand.
Just like the girl, not much of his skin was exposed and some of knights with them even cover the sunlight from touching them.
"Tsk, you Cursed Child. You are going to bring bad luck to my business."
"If we really bring bad luck, I will tell my Daddy to pay for your loss. He can even buy this whole store."
"Who cares about your Daddy."
"You-"
The girl stopped talking when she felt something poked her arm. It was her brother and when she turned towards him, her brother was shaking his head slightly, telling her to not be bother with what the man said.
"We can go somewhere else sister."
"Ok fine," the girl didn't say anything anymore and both of them walked away.
Seeing those kids finally walked away, the shop owner couldn't help but feel relief until suddenly somebody said, "Hey mister, why did you chase them away? Those kids don't look like commoners. Aren't you afraid somebody might burn down your shop?"
The one asking was a maid from a noble house who came to buy desserts for her lady regularly. She actually saw those kids coming out from an expensive boutique before coming here thus she knew they weren't ordinary.
She was from the countryside and she didn't believe in the Church's teaching thus she didn't understand why those adorable fair skin kids that looked like dolls in her eyes were called Cursed Children.
"That kid just talked big. Let see if there's someone dare burn my shop. I have a good relationship with Marquis Donovan."
"Well, if you say so," the maid decided to not say much and went out of the shop after she finished paying.
The other customers also decided not to say anything and resume their activity.
"Those kids kinda remind me of someone. Plus it's rare to see such an upright and energetic girl like her. I kinda of curious about their parents," Annisa muttered.
