Chapter Eighteen

-Y/n's POV-

We continued playing video games for hours, the sun was starting to set when I felt my phone beginning to vibrate, 'Incoming call from Mom'

"Hey mom" I said picking up the phone

"Sweetie it's getting late, your father and I made dinner so please head home now"

"Okay, be there soon, love you" I said hanging up 

"I gotta go guys, my mom wants me home for dinner" I smiled, waving goodbye to the boys

"Want me to walk you home?" Kenny said looking up from the game he was playing

"It's okay Kenny, it's only like two houses down, thank you though" I said walking out the door into the brisk cold

I was walking up my driveway when I saw a figure standing near my front door, I looked again and it was gone- I must be going crazy

I quickly went inside 

-Time Skip: The Next Morning-

I got up super early this morning so that I could go for a run before school

I was super anxious about today and running has always served as an outlet for me- I didn't want to do anything stupid and worry the boys more than they already are

I threw on a thick pair of joggers with a f/c quarter zip and a thick wool headband, slipping on my warmest pair of socks before putting on my sneakers and running out the door

My typical route was through our neighborhood, on to the path that leads down to the playground and back

As I ran through the path I felt a strange feeling as if someone was watching me, but I brushed it off continuing my jog, I was probably just being paranoid 

I continued to the park and then made my way back to the path, finally slowing down to a walk to catch my breath, it had been awhile since I had gone on a run like this

The sun was starting to rise, it was beautiful, I was taking in the site when all of the sudden someone grabbed my arm and pulled me into the woods, "BOO!" Kenny yelled

I saw Kenny but my heart was still racing "I think I'm gonna-" I could feel a panic attack coming on, I was hyperventilating and couldn't get it under control, I was starting to get dizzy, everything was going... black...

"Shit, shit, shit" I could hear Kenny saying as I began to come to, he must have seen my eyes begin to open "I'm so sorry babe- I totally forgot about your attacks- it's been so long since you've had one-"

"What the fuck!" I yelled, hitting his arm pretty hard, "have you been following me this whole time? I felt like someone was following me"

"What? No? I'm not that much of a creep" he said "I checked your location and figured I'd come see what you were up to- I've always loved your little workout fits" he said winking at me, "but seriously, I'm sorry- I shouldn't have done that" he said helping me up

"It's okay Kenny" I sighed 

I heard something move in the woods behind us, I turned to see something approaching us, I grabbed Kenny's hand and he moved in front of me, "well, well, well" they said poking their head out from a bush

"You have some real balls coming out here Clyde" Kenny spat

I could feel myself tense up- had he been the one following me?

Clyde just started laughing, continuing to walk towards us

"Take one more step and I'll fucking kill you!" Kenny yelled

"How ironic" Clyde said, pulling out something from his jacket pocket- I couldn't see- was that a- no way- "my dad keeps this in our closet upstairs- figured I'd bring it with me- just in case" he smirked 

"What are you going to do? Shoot me?" Kenny spat

"I just want y/n to come with me and everything will be okay" he smiled, gesturing for me to come to him

"Over my dead body" Kenny replied, moving another step in front of me

"As you wish" Clyde said, cocking the gun

Kenny turned to me "Y/n- I need you to run"

"w-what" I stammered

"Listen- there's no time for me to explain- when he shoots, I need you run-"

The gun went off and Kenny fell to the ground, I took off as fast as I could, not looking back, but I could hear Clyde running after me, I made it to our neighborhood

But when I went to run across the street I had forgotten to look both ways, I felt a sharp pain in my ribs before everything around me began to fade... 

I woke up in the middle of the road, looking around me, there were ambulances, I saw my parents- they were crying? I walked towards them "what's going on" no response, I went to grab my mom's arm but my hand went right through her- oh my god I'm not- no 

I walked over to the ambulance and saw my body being put inside, I was wearing an oxygen mask on a stretcher- so I guess I'm not dead- at least not yet

I looked at the other ambulance and saw Clyde's parents hysterically crying, I walked over and saw a black body bag on the stretch- no- no- no- no 

I hated Clyde for what he did to me, but he didn't deserve to die

Suddenly I remembered what had happened back in the woods- "Kenny!" I yelled even though no one could hear me- I ran to to woods where he had been shot but there was no body- had they already taken him? 

I ran back to the scene but I didn't see any other ambulances or body bags- maybe he was already at the hospital? 

I saw my parents step into the ambulance and decided to slip on so that I search the hospital for Kenny

When we arrived I watched my body being rushed into surgery, this was such a weird, surreal experience, I walked in to the hospital and began looking for any signs of Kenny but there were none, I didn't even see anyone from his family here

I started to cry as I heard a familiar voice run into the waiting room, "WHERE'S Y/N? IS SHE ALIVE?" they yelled

It was- Kenny? what the fuck- I literally watched him get shot- or at least I thought I did- everything was sort of a blur

I watched as Stan, Kyle and Cartman came running in after him, their eyes red and puffy

My parents walked over to them, "she's in surgery now boys- they aren't sure if she's g-going to m-make it" they managed to choke out in between sobs

Kenny dropped to the floor and completely broke down- the boys dropping down beside him- they all started to sob- even Cartman

I wanted to hug them- I wanted to wake up

"Take me back!" I yelled

I ran to find my body in surgery, I looked at the doctor's who were hard at work trying to stabilize me 

I grabbed my hand and everything began to turn bright white
